Attention: Pay attention to the regulations and instructions of your car manufacturer. Check the polarity when connecting the speakers. Your purchase receipt serves as proof of warranty for any repairs or exchanges. Keep your receipt, this manual, and the original packaging in a safe place.

Caution: Use of sound systems can impair your ability to hear important traffic sounds and may constitute a hazard while driving. AUDIO SYSTEM GERMANY accepts no liability for hearing loss, bodily injury, or property damage resulting from the use or misuse of its products. We recommend having the installation performed by a specialist workshop/installer, as professional installation and connection are prerequisites for a perfect sound result.

Installation Tips

Warning: Disconnect the negative pole (-) of the vehicle battery before assembly. Check all connections for correct polarity; incorrect polarity can lead to short circuits in the vehicle's electrical system.

The best installation positions are the original locations for originality and ease of assembly. Ensure speakers are installed flat and stable. The quality of the installation significantly impacts the sound; therefore, pay attention to insulation and care during installation.

Protect the speakers from heat, sunlight, mechanical influences, moisture, and wetness using AUDIO SYSTEM accessories.

Attention: Route your cables so they are not pinched or run over sharp edges, as this can lead to short circuits and damage.

Caution: Be careful when removing original plastic parts of your car, as mounting parts can be damaged and may need replacement.

Important: The correct polarity of the speakers relative to each other critically influences the sound. Experimenting and listening or measuring is recommended.

Tweeter Mounting

Important: The enclosed mounting bracket is required to install the tweeter in certain vehicles/installation positions. The tweeter must be fixed in the mounting bracket, which can be done from either side.

Tweeter (Crossover FWK TW EVO)

Important: The speaker system can be adapted to the vehicle's acoustics, music genre, and personal taste via the crossover. Depending on the speaker placement, the crossover can be adjusted to optimize the frequency response for the given geometric conditions.

Adjusting the tonal response and volume level of the frequency response may be necessary depending on the tweeter's installation location (e.g., A-pillar, mirror triangle, or door panel). Attention: Free cable ends must be isolated. Failure to do so can result in a short circuit!

Crossover Settings (FWK TW EVO)

Mid-Woofer (Crossover FWK MW)

Please connect the crossover FWK MW with CONNECTOR 017. It is a non-configurable fixed crossover.

Rain Protection MBR165

Please attach the rain protection MBR165 between the speaker adapter LSR OPEL1 and the speaker AS 165 EM EVO. The water cap must be positioned above the magnet. In some cases, the rain protection may need to be trimmed with a suitable tool (scissors, cutter, etc.) for proper fitting.
