Installation
Lifting and Moving the TV
To prevent scratches or damage, move the TV in its original packaging. Disconnect all cables before moving. Hold the TV frame firmly, avoiding the transparent part or speaker grille. Use at least two people for large TVs. Avoid jolts, excessive vibration, and do not turn the TV on its side. Be careful not to damage protruding buttons.
Mounting on the Table
- Lift and tilt the TV upright on a table. Leave at least 10 cm (4 inches) space from the wall for ventilation.
- Connect the power cord to a wall outlet.
Securing TV to the Wall
- Insert and tighten eye-bolts or TV brackets and bolts on the back of the TV. Remove any pre-inserted bolts first.
- Mount wall brackets to the wall, aligning with the TV's eye-bolts.
- Connect eye-bolts and wall brackets with a sturdy rope or cable, keeping it parallel to the flat surface.
Use a strong and large enough platform or cabinet. Brackets, bolts, and ropes may be optional and available from dealers.
Mounting to the Wall
An optional wall mount can be used. Consult your dealer for a VESA-standard compatible mount. Attach the wall mount bracket to the rear of the TV and install it on a solid wall. For other building materials, contact qualified personnel. LG recommends its own wall mounts for ease of adjustment and cable connection. If using a non-adjustable mount, attach the mount to the wall first, then connect cables to the TV, then attach the TV to the mount. Remove the stand before wall mounting.
Antenna/Cable
Connect an antenna, cable, or cable box to watch TV. Illustrations may differ from actual items. An RF cable is optional. Ensure the copper wire of the RF cable is not bent. Complete all device connections before connecting the power cord. Use a signal splitter for multiple TVs. The TV supports DTV Audio Codec: MPEG, Dolby Digital. It may not receive Ultra HD broadcasts directly depending on country standards.
Connections
HDMI
Turn off the TV and external devices before connecting HDMI cables. Supported HDMI Audio formats include True HD, Dolby Digital, PCM, and DTS. For clearer pictures, ensure connected devices support HDMI Deep Color; otherwise, adjust the TV's setting. Use a certified HDMI cable to avoid display errors.
USB
Some USB Hubs may not work; connect USB devices directly to the TV's USB port. For optimal connection, HDMI cables and USB devices should have bezels less than 10 mm thick and 18 mm width. Use a USB 2.0 extension cable if needed.
IR Blaster
Control set-top boxes, Blu-ray players, soundbars, and game consoles using the IR Blaster. Connect the IR Blaster cable to the TV's IR Blaster port. Use universal control settings. Secure the IR Blaster with the provided 3M tape. An IR blaster connection is required for 'Room to Room Share' and 'Hands-free Voice Control'.
External Devices
Supported devices include Blu-ray players, HD receivers, DVD players, VCRs, audio systems, USB storage, PCs, and gaming devices. Refer to individual device manuals for connection details. In PC mode, noise may occur; adjust resolution, refresh rate, brightness, or contrast. For wired LAN, use a CAT 7 cable. The TV may support operation without a set-top-box from an MVPD.
Remote RS-232C Setup
Obtain RS-232C external control setup information from www.lg.com. Connect the USB to Serial (RS-232C) converter or RS-232C (Serial) input jack to an external control device (computer, A/V system) to control the TV externally. Ensure cables are long enough to prevent the product from falling.

- TV turns off suddenly: Check auto-off function settings.
- Abnormal Display: Minor pixel variations (dots) are normal. Brightness/color may vary by viewing angle. Avoid touching the screen. Prolonged display of static images may cause image sticking.
- Generated Sound: Cracking noise is due to thermal contraction. Humming/buzzing may come from high-speed switching circuits; this is normal and does not affect performance.
