General Information

Product Warranty

Kwikset warranties cover original residential users against defects in material and workmanship for as long as the user occupies the premises. Warranties do not cover abused, misused, or non-commercial products used in commercial applications. Kwikset will replace or refund defective products. Finish deterioration from chemical use is not covered. Kwikset is not liable for incidental or consequential damages.

Patent Indemnity

Kwikset agrees to defend against claims of patent infringement for products made to their specifications. If infringement is found, Kwikset will procure rights, replace, modify, or refund the product.

Standards

Kwikset meets or exceeds testing requirements specified by ANSI, BHMA, UL, and ADA.

Miscellaneous

Substitution of non-Kwikset components or alterations may void warranties. Kwikset reserves the right to revise products, information, or pricing without notice. Typographic or printing errors are not Kwikset's responsibility.

Ordering Information

Handing

Determined by facing the outside of the door. Left-handed (LH) if hinge is on the left, Right-handed (RH) if hinge is on the right. Handing is primarily required for Dummy Kwikset Signature Series levers.

Finishes

Available finishes include Polished Brass, Antique Brass, Venetian Bronze, Satin Nickel, Satin Chrome, Iron Black, and Polished Chrome.

Keying Options

Options include K4 (4 locksets) and K6 (6 locksets) for Keyed Alike sets.

Backset

Adjustable backset is typically 2 3/8" or 2 3/4".

Functions

Common functions include Passage/Hall & Closet, Privacy/Bed & Bath, Keyed Entry (Knob/Lever), Half Dummy Trim, Single Cylinder Handlesets, Double Cylinder Handlesets, Single Cylinder Deadbolts, Double Cylinder Deadbolts, and Electronic Deadbolts/Levers.

Kwikset Signature Series

Handlesets

Available in Single Cylinder (thumbpiece outside, key outside; grip inside, thumbturn inside) and Double Cylinder (key outside, key inside) configurations. Some models feature latch bolts operated by thumbpiece/grip and deadbolts operated by key/thumbturn.

Knobs & Levers

Functions include Passage (always free), Privacy (turnbutton inside, emergency key outside), Entry (key outside or turnbutton inside), and Half Dummy Trim (pull only).

Deadbolts

Available in Single Cylinder (key outside, thumbturn inside) and Double Cylinder (key both sides) options.

Key Technologies

SmartKey Security™
