VIPLEX HANDY APP Configuration Manual
Important Warning
⚠️ WARNING: This manual is only suitable for LED displays assembled with vertical cabinets.

Configuration Steps Overview
Read this manual and follow the steps of the configuration process in order.
- Create a VNNOX Account: Before setting up the display configuration.
- Connections and Wiring: Make sure that the connection between your display and your content player is correct.
- Display Configuration with VIPLEX HANDY: Follow these steps to set up your LED display.
- Connect your Content Player to the Internet: Use network cable or Wi-Fi.
- Bind your Display to your VNNOX Account: Use the data you got in Step 1 to bind the content player to your VNNOX account and control it remotely.
Before you begin, use the QR code to install VIPLEX HANDY in your Android or Apple device.
Step 1: Create a VIPLEX HANDY / VNNOX Account
1.1 - Creating Your User Account
1. Launch the APP and accept the user policy

4. Drop down the region menu by selecting the flag

5. Select the option with the EUROPE map then "OK"

6. Select "0086" and insert the telephone code of your country

7. Scroll down the list until you find your country code. For example "SPAIN 0034". Then select "BACK to return."

8. Enter a cell phone number. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE NUMBER WILL BE VERIFIED.

9. Select "SEND CODE" and wait a few seconds to receive an SMS message.

10. The message contains a number. Enter that verification code here.

11. Click on the box to accept the terms of service.

12. Press the "LOG IN / REGISTER" button.

13. Enter a new user name. This username will be shared with the VNNOX web portal.

14. Enter a new password: it must be at least 8 characters long and must contain letters, numbers and symbols.

15. Select the "DONE" button to finish the registration process.

16. When finished you will see a screen like this

Step 2: Wiring and Connections
2.1 - Wiring Diagram

Step 3: Display Configuration
3.1 - Connection to the Player's Wi-Fi Network
During this process, your device must remain connected to the player's Wi-Fi network.
1. Go to the SETTINGS screen.

3. Check the list of available Wi-Fi networks and select the player's network: APXXXXXXXXX

4. Enter the player's Wi-Fi password (12345678 by default) and connect to the network.

This network provides no internet. It is a direct connection to the LED display content player.
⚠️ IF YOUR DEVICE IS CONFIGURED TO AUTOMATICALLY CONNECT TO KNOWN NETWORKS WITH INTERNET CONNECTION, YOU MAY HAVE TO DISABLE THIS OPTION BEFORE CONNECTING.
On iOS devices, you can set the "ASK TO LOGIN" option to "ASK" mode to prevent automatic logout.
On Android devices, you can enter the configuration of your usual Wi-Fi networks and uncheck the option "AUTOMATIC CONNECTION".
⚠️ IF YOU DO NOT CONFIGURE THIS OPTION PROPERLY, IT IS POSSIBLE THAT YOUR DEVICE WILL AUTOMATICALLY DISCONNECT FROM THE CONTENT PLAYER AND RECONNECT TO ANOTHER WI-FI NETWORK.
3.2 - Login to the Content Player
1. Start the VIPLEX HANDY APP and select "LOCAL CONTROL".

2. Make sure you are still connected to the player's Wi-Fi network.

3. Tap on "CONNECT".

If the connection is correct, the APP will detect the player on the screen as "TAURUS-XXXXXX".
If the connection is not correct, the APP will not detect the controller.
4. After logging in, you should see a screen like this.

The app will ask for login information. Use the following: user: admin, password: 123456
3.3 - Activate Configuration Mode
1. Return to the device screen by selecting "BACK".

2. Select "ME" on the lower right corner.

3. Activate "SCREEN CONFIGURATION" and get back to "LOCAL DEVICES".

4. Tap on "CONNECT".

3.4 - Check Display Configuration
1. Tap on "SCREEN CONFIGURATION".

3.5 - Set the Amount of Cabinets
1. In "RV CARD QUANTITY" we will set the number of cabinets of our example display.

2. Specify the number of columns and rows to match your own display. For this example we will use 2 rows and 2 columns making a display with 4 cabinets.

3.6 - Set the Cabinet Native Resolution in Pixels
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW THE RESOLUTION OF YOUR DISPLAY CABINET, PLEASE REFER TO THE DATA SHEET OR CONTACT VISUAL LED SUPPORT.
1. In "RV CARD SIZE" set the resolution in pixels of one frame of your screen.

2. For the example in this manual, we will use a resolution of 128px width and 256px height.

3. Tap "OK" on the upper right corner.

3.7 - Cabinets Data Wiring Diagram
WE MUST REPRODUCE THE DATA WIRING (NETWORK CABLES) OF THE DISPLAY FROM A FRONT VIEW OF THE DISPLAY. THIS IMPLIES THAT THE FRAME THAT IS CONNECTED TO THE CONTENT PLAYER IS THE LOWER LEFT ONE ACCORDING TO THE EXAMPLE.
1. After tapping on "OK", you should see a screen similar to this one. WE MUST START WITH THE CABINET THAT IS DIRECTLY CONNECTED TO THE CONTENT PLAYER.

2. To define a connection, slide your finger from the center of the first frame to the center of the next frame.

3. If you make a mistake establishing a connection between cabinets, you can use the buttons on the bottom strip to go back or restart the process. To configure the wiring correctly, you must not have any trusses selected. If a frame appears with a blue frame, click off the screen and start over.

4. Repeat the action, this time sliding your finger from the center of the second cabinet to the center of the third cabinet.

5. We finish by sliding from the third cabinet to the fourth. In this way, all the cabinets are connected.

6. Click on "DONE" and our configuration will be sent to the screen. Wait a few seconds.

AFTER SENDING THE CONFIGURATION, YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO SEE SAMPLE CONTENTS ON SCREEN.
⚠️ IT IS POSSIBLE THAT THE SAMPLE CONTENTS MAY APPEAR DISTORTED IN WIDTH OR HEIGHT AS THEY WILL NOT BE OPTIMIZED FOR YOUR NATIVE SCREEN RESOLUTION.
7. After sending the configuration, the VNNOX linking screen may appear. CLICK ON "CANCEL".

Step 4: Connect Your Display to the Internet
Choose one of the following configuration methods:
4.1 - Method 1: Network Cable
⚠️ CONNECT A NETWORK CABLE FROM THE ETHERNET PORT OF THE PLAYER TO THE ROUTER OR SWITCH OF YOUR NETWORK SETUP.
The player is configured to automatically obtain network connection (DHCP).
4.2 - Method 2: Wi-Fi Internet Connection
WE WILL USE THE APP TO INSERT THE NETWORK AND PASSWORD OF YOUR OWN ROUTER.
Once the Wi-Fi is set up, you will lose the direct Wi-Fi connection from your Android or iOS device to the display. To continue working with the APP, you will then have to connect your mobile device to the same Wi-Fi network as your display.
1. Start the APP and select "LOCAL CONTROL".

3. Tap on "NETWORK SETTINGS".

4. Select "WIRELESS NETWORK SETTINGS".

5. A list of detected Wi-Fi networks will appear.

6. Select your preferred Wi-Fi network and tap on "CONNECT".

7. Insert the password of your Wi-Fi network.

8. Tap on "OK".

THE CONTENT PLAYER WILL NOW CONNECT TO YOUR WI-FI NETWORK AND ITS OWN WI-FI ACCESS POINT WILL BE DISABLED. YOU CAN NOW CONNECT YOUR MOBILE DEVICE TO THE SAME WI-FI NETWORK TO KEEP USING THE APP.
Step 5: Binding the Display to VNNOX
Optional step to manage content from your web browser (requires internet connection on the player as described on Step 4).
1. Start the APP and select "LOCAL CONTROL".

3. Tap on "BIND TO CLOUD SERVICES".

5. Select "SERVER" and choose the server from "EUROPE".

6. Insert your VNNOX username and password (as on the STEP 1 of this manual).

7. Insert a name for your player or leave the default name.

8. Tap on "DONE".
