General Introduction
The BOYA WMic5 is an incredibly lightweight, and easy-to-use wireless microphone system for up to 2 people, adopting 2.4GHz wireless transmission technology. The microphone delivers exceptional and broadcast-quality sound to DSLR, mirrorless and video cameras, smartphones, tablets, computers, etc. It is ideal for content creation, vlogging, mobile journalism, and more.
With capabilities of mute and noise cancellation, the small and light WMic5-TX transmitter has a built-in omnidirectional microphone and with 360-degrees of sound pickup. The magnetic belt clip of the transmitter can be used with the magnetic nameplate (sold separately), which can be easily clipped to shirts and clothing.
The series offers WMic5-RX, WMic5-RXD, and WMic5-RXU receivers to choose from, featuring selectable Mono/ Stereo output settings and supporting real-time audio monitoring. The WMic5-TX transmitter and WMic5-RX receiver of the series provide long operating life for your recordings (up to about 10 hours for TX; about 20 hours for RX). The WMic5-RXD receiver features an MFi Certified Lightning output, designed for iOS devices, while the WMic5-RXU receiver features a USB-C output, designed for devices with a USB-C port.

2. Power Button & Controls

- Power Button (2): Press and hold for 3 seconds to Power ON/OFF.
- Mute ON/OFF: Press once.
- Pair: Press twice.
- +/- / NR Button (3):
- Press +/- button to adjust mic gain (totally 6 levels). The setting is retained even after the power is turned off.
- Press and hold or continuously press "+"/"-" to adjust mic gain to maximum/minimum level; the indicator blinks blue twice rapidly.
- Press the NR button (press both "+" and "-" buttons at the same time) to turn on/off noise cancellation. Default setting is off.
- USB-C Charging Port (4) (DC 5V): Use the included USB-C charging cable to charge the transmitter.

2. Power Button & Controls

- Power Button (2): Press and hold for 3 seconds to Power ON/OFF.
- Pair: Press twice.
- +/- or M/S Button (3):
- Press +/- button to adjust output volume (totally 6 levels). The setting is retained even after the power is turned off.
- Press and hold or continuously press "+"/"-" to adjust output volume to maximum/minimum level; the indicator blinks blue twice rapidly.
- Press the M/S button (press both "+" and "-" buttons at the same time) to set the output mode to mono or stereo. In mono mode, audio from left and right channels is mixed. In stereo mode, audio from left and right channels is separated to left and right outputs. Default setting is mono.

Operation
For the WMic5-M1 / WMic5-M2 kit
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the WMic5-TX transmitter and the WMic5-RX receiver.
- Pairing: The system is pre-paired before leaving the factory. Therefore, the connection will be established automatically once they are powered on. If they are disconnected, please follow these steps:
- ① While powered on, double-press the power button on both the transmitter and receiver to enter pairing mode. The indicators on both will blink blue rapidly.
- ② The transmitter and receiver will be successfully paired within 5 seconds. The indicators on both will light up static blue.
- Connect the receiver to the mic input of a camera, recorder, or mixer using the supplied 3.5 mm TRS to TRS cable; or connect it to a smartphone, tablet, or computer using the supplied 3.5 mm TRS to TRRS cable.
- You are ready to record.
For the WMic5-M3 / WMic5-M4 / WMic5-M5 / WMic5-M6 kit
- Press and hold the power button for 3 seconds to turn on the transmitter.
- Plug the WMic5-RXD into an iOS device or the WMic5-RXU into a USB-C device.
- Pairing: The system is pre-paired before leaving the factory. Therefore, the connection will be established automatically once they are powered on. If they are disconnected, please follow these steps:
- ① While powered on, double-press the transmitter's power button to enter pairing mode. Its indicator blinks blue rapidly.
- ② Press and hold the receiver's pair button for 3 seconds to enter pairing mode. Its indicator blinks blue rapidly.
- ③ The transmitter and receiver will be successfully paired within 5 seconds. The indicators on both will light up static blue.
- You are ready to record.
⚠️ Note: Due to the 2.4GHz wireless frequency being widely used, the signal may be easily attenuated or interfered. Please try to avoid obstacles while using, such as walls and buildings. And keep away from devices with 2.4GHz frequency, such as high-power Wi-Fi antennas, radios, etc.
