Caution, General Use & Care Instructions

CAUTION:
- For microwave use only. Do not use on stovetop or in a conventional oven.
- When removing the roaster from microwave, grab the roaster by the handles.
- Beware of the steam when lifting dome. Use pot holders.
- Do not cook candy such as toffee or praline for long periods in the roaster or with grate in the bottom of cooker.
- Place paper towel on the grate when cooking bacon in the roaster, as bacon grease can get too hot for roaster bottom.
GENERAL USE & CARE INSTRUCTIONS
- Microwave temperatures may vary. If you have a 1100 watt microwave or higher, please reduce cooking time to 8 minutes per pound (lb.) or 2 minutes less per lb of meat than the time in the recipe.
- Apply BBQ Sauce with a basting brush for better results. Do not pour too much BBQ Sauce in roaster at one time.
- If you do not have a turntable, turn the roaster at least once during cooking time.
- Dishwasher safe. Top rack only. Do not use abrasive cleaners or knives on the TASTY ROASTER.
BASIC INSTRUCTIONS FOR COOKING POULTRY
- Rinse poultry before cooking.
- Follow recipes, but be aware that microwaves are not equal so check your poultry with a thermometer for best results.
- Store leftover poultry in the TASTY ROASTER and close the vent. To reheat, open vent and heat poultry for 1-1/2 minutes on high per piece.
- When cooking in Microwave that is 1100 watts or more, use the lesser of the cooking times until you are familiar with how your microwave cooks.
Product Features
Steam Vent
The steam vent has a control dial for rotation. It can be set in three positions:
- OPEN COMPLETELY: For BBQ, browning-seasoned or sauced chicken, pork chops, hamburgers, meatloaf, roasted chicken, wings, meats, etc.
- CLOSED WITH SMALL HOLES ONLY: For Fish.
- CLOSED COMPLETELY: For Steaming vegetables, rice, rice mixes, refreshing hard or stale bread.
Roasting Rack
The roasting rack is reversible and easy to clean. It can be used in two positions:
- LEGS UP: Use when cooking larger chickens or other meats such as wings, pieces of chicken, and large pieces of vegetables like cauliflower.
- LEGS DOWN: Use when cooking smaller chickens, hamburgers, pork chops, fish, and multi-meals such as vegetables and meat, rice and meat, etc.
The product also features Easy Lift-out Handles and a 2.4L Base with Stay-Cool Handles.

Recipes
Savory Whole Roasted Chicken
Ingredients:
- 1.4 to 2 Kg whole chicken
- Olive oil (optional)
- 1/4 cup water
- Seasoning
- Paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions:
- Dry the chicken. Rub with olive oil (optional).
- Sprinkle seasoning and paprika on the chicken and sprinkle some on the inside of the chicken cavity.
- Pour 1/4 cup water in the bottom of the roaster.
- Place chicken on rack and cover.
- Open steam vent all the way (wide open).
- Microwave (800W -- 1000W) for 10 minutes per (450g).
- If you do not have a turntable on your microwave, turn the roaster around halfway through the cooking time and microwave for the remaining time.
- Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Remove chicken from the tasty roaster.
- Heat juices if needed and serve with vegetables.
- Serves 6-8, depending on size of chicken.
Fast and Easy Homemade Mac & Cheese
Ingredients:
- 2 cups macaroni
- 2 cups hot water
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 2 tsp. all purpose seasoning
- 1 tsp. mustard
- 1/4 cup flour
- 1 1/4 cup milk
- 250g grated mature Cheddar Cheese
- 50g crumbed parmesan cheese
Instructions:
- Remove rack. Add pasta. Cover with water.
- Cover with steam vent opened completely and microwave for 10 minutes.
- Add butter, onion, seasoning and mustard.
- Mix flour and milk and stir into Macaroni mixture.
- Add most of the cheese, cover and cook on high for 6-8 minutes.
- Sprinkle with remaining cheese. Microwave 1 minute.
Rice and Shrimps
Ingredients:
- 1 cup rice
- 110g butter
- 1 can (8 oz.) onion soup
- 1 can tomatoes (8 oz.)
- Chili peppers, un-drained
- 1 tsp. All Purpose seasoning
- 450g prawns peeled and deveined
Instructions:
- Remove rack.
- Place all ingredients in roaster except the prawns and cover. Close vent.
- Place in microwave and microwave for 20 minutes.
- Stir shrimp into ingredients. Microwave for 2 minutes more.
Dark Chocolate Toffee Walnut Fudge
Ingredients:
- 1 can (10 oz.) chocolate fudge icing
- 225g milk chocolate toffee pieces
- 250-300g dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup walnut pieces
- Rock salt
Instructions:
- Remove rack.
- Combine icing, toffee bits and dark chocolate chips. Microwave for 2 minutes with open steam vent.
- Add walnuts. Microwave for 1 minute.
- Stir. Sprinkle top with rock salt.
- Pour into greased 20cm pan or another roaster.
- Place in refrigerator for 5 minutes or until set.
Care and Cleaning Instructions
- Dishwasher safety.
- Do NOT use abrasive cleaners or sharp utensils to clean this product.
- Store the item in a cool, dry place.
- Wipe with a clean dry cloth.
