General
Safety Instructions
- Power Dustin OFF and remove him from a power source when you are not using him and before conducting maintenance.
- Dustin is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced physical or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless under the close supervision of a person responsible for their safety.
- Leaks from the battery cells can occur under extreme usage or temperature conditions. If the liquid gets on the skin, wash quickly with water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, flush them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes, and seek medical attention.
- Dustin is composed of electronic components that in rare and unintended cases can cause hazards of heating, fire, and other malfunctions. Furthermore, because Dustin is capable of autonomous movement, his use poses the risk of collision with property, pets, and persons. Unintended removal of articles – such as small valuables, jewelry, or hair of persons or pets lying on the floor – may also occur.
- If Dustin or his charging station has been damaged in any way, do not operate them. Contact our support team for further assistance.
- Do not handle Dustin or his charging station with wet hands; use only on dry surfaces.

Getting Started
Who is Dustin?
Dustin is an autonomous robotic vacuum cleaner designed to assist you. By connecting Dustin to Wi-Fi and using the bObsweep app, you can create a personalized cleaning plan to have Dustin clean your home according to your preferences.
How does Dustin find his way around?
Dustin utilizes laser vision, a network of sensors, and advanced mapping and localization technology to identify walls, furniture, and obstacles. As it cleans, Dustin simultaneously builds a map of the areas it can access. Locations with furniture and small items are marked on this map, which can be viewed and customized via the bObsweep App's Map Icon. This mapping capability allows Dustin to clean your home efficiently throughout a full cycle.
After cleaning, Dustin automatically returns to its charging station and empties its dustbin into the station's container, allowing you to enjoy clean floors for extended periods without manual vacuuming.
Navigating Difficult Obstacles
Unique Furniture
Specialty furniture, such as desk chairs with wheels or stools with circular bases, may momentarily confuse Dustin. It might get stuck on an edge for a few minutes before deciding to clean elsewhere. If Dustin is not displaying a trouble message, allow it to continue cleaning and finding its own path. Note any areas that prove challenging for Dustin and, if possible, adjust furniture placement or add NoSweep™ zones.
Dark-Colored Carpet
If Dustin repeatedly backs up or shows a trouble message on dark carpets, consider deactivating the edge sensors via the bObsweep app under "Cleaning Preferences" in Settings. Be aware that deactivating edge sensors means Dustin cannot detect edges or stairs, potentially leading to falls. To prevent this, create NoSweep lines along edges or stairs.
Shag Carpet
Dustin's main brush is not designed for shag carpets or rugs with long fibers and fringes. For cleaning such carpets, you can remove the main brush and allow Dustin to vacuum without it.
Mopping
When using the mopping attachment, create NoMop zones in the bObsweep app for areas with rugs or carpets to prevent Dustin from entering them.
Dustin's First Clean
Install Dustin's Side Brush
Install the side brush to help Dustin reach corners and edges of rooms. Ensure the brush is placed over the empty socket on Dustin and press down to lock it. The connection strength can be adjusted by rotating the screw in the center of the side brush socket counter-clockwise.
Power Dustin ON
Press and hold the GO button until the screen lights up.
Storing Dustin
For periods of inactivity (over a month), power Dustin OFF, remove the battery, and unplug the charging station. Store all components in a dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
For shorter periods of inactivity, you can enable Low Power Standby mode (LPS). Place Dustin on the charging station, then press and hold the CHARGE button for 5 seconds. You will hear "low power mode" confirmation. To exit LPS mode, press the GO button while Dustin is on the station or remove him from it. Note: In LPS mode, Dustin is offline, and the bObsweep App cannot connect to him. Scheduled cleanings will also be paused.
Set up Dustin's Charging & Self-empty Station
Position the charging station on a hard, flat surface, away from uncovered windows, mirrors, and shiny furniture. Ensure there is ample clear space around the station. Place the charging station onto the charging bed, aligning the sockets, and press down to secure it.
Charging Indicator
To charge Dustin manually, place him on his charging bed, ensuring the metal nodes on his back align with the plates on the station.
- Low Battery: Rapidly blinking light.
- Finding Station: Blinking light.
- Charging: Slowly blinking light.
- Fully Charged: Solid white light.
Download the bObsweep App
Connect Dustin to Wi-Fi via the bObsweep app to access all features and software updates. Follow the in-app instructions to connect with Amazon Alexa or Google Home devices.
The app allows you to view Dustin's cleaning map, personalize it, set cleaning schedules, and manage your robot's performance. Open the bObsweep App, create an account, and follow the instructions to connect your bot.
Let Dustin Sweep!
Ensure the area is clear of clutter and wires, then press the GO button to start cleaning. Dustin is equipped with Room-to-Room™ cleaning technology, allowing it to explore and clean your home autonomously, avoiding furniture and obstacles. For optimal results, remove small objects and clutter.
Important: Do not pick up Dustin while it is cleaning, as this can distort its map. It is also recommended not to change the charging station's location after Dustin has mapped the environment.
