SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS AND DELIVER TO OWNER AFTER INSTALLATION To reduce t he risk of deat h, personal injury or propert y damage from fire, electric shock, falling part s, cut s/ abrasions, and ot her hazards please read all w arnings and inst ruct ions included wit h and on t he fixt ure box and all fixt ure labels. Before inst alling, servicing, or perform ing rout ine m aint enance upon t his equipm ent , follow t hese general precaut ions. Inst allation and service of lum inaires should be performed by a qualified licensed electrician. M aint enance of t he lum inaires should be performed by person(s) familiar w it h t he luminaires' const ruction and operation and any hazards involved. Regular fixt ure m aint enance program s are recomm ended. It will occasionally be necessary t o clean t he out side of the refract or/ lens. Frequency of cleaning will depend on am bient dirt level and minim um light out put w hich is accept able t o user. Refract or/ lens should be w ashed in a solut ion of w arm w at er and any mild, non-abrasive household det ergent , rinsed wit h clean w at er and w iped dry. Should optical assem bly becom e dirty on t he inside, wipe refract or/ lens and clean in above m anner, replacing dam aged gasket s as necessary. DO NOT INSTALL DAM AGED PRODUCT! This luminaire has been properly packed so t hat no part s should have been dam aged during t ransit. Inspect t o confirm. Any part dam aged or broken during or after assem bly should be replaced. W ARNING RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK Disconnect or turn off pow er before installation or servicing. Verify that supply voltage is correct by comparing it w ith the luminaire label i nf or m at i on. M ake all electrical and grounded connections in accordance w ith the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local code requirements. All wiring connections should be capped w ith UL approved recognized w ire connect or s. CAUTION RISK OF INJURY Wear gloves and safety glasses at all times w hen removing luminaire from carton, installing, servicing or performing m ai nt enance. Avoid direct eye exposure to the light source while it is on. 912-00089-002 W ARNING RISK OF BURN Allow lamp/ fixture to cool before handling. Do not touch enclosure or light source. Do not exceed maximum w attage marked on luminaire label. Follow all manufacturer's w arnings, recommendations and restrictions for: driver type, burning position, mounting locations/ methods, replacement and r ecycl i n g. CAUTION RISK OF FIRE Keep combustible and other materials that can burn, aw ay from lamp/ lens. Do not operate in close proximity to persons, combustible materials or substances affected by heat or drying. Page 1 of 7 LED IM PORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Pre-Launch CAUTION: RISK OF PRODUCT DAM AGE Never connect components under load. Do not mount or support these fixtures in a manner t hat can cut the outer jacket or damage w ire insulation. Controls for dimming, auto-sensing, or remote control of a luminaire that are not factory-w ired to the luminaire must be checked for com patibility w ith the luminaire prior to installation. LED fixtures must be pow ered directly off a sw itched circuit. Unless individual product specifications deem otherw ise: Do not restrict fixture ventilation. Allow for some volume of airspace around fixt ure. Avoid covering LED fixtures w ith insulation, foam, or other material that w ill prevent convection or conduction cooling. Unless individual product specifications deem otherw ise: Do not exceed fixtures maximum ambient t em per at ur e. Only use fixture in its intended location. LED products are Polarity Sensitive. Ensure proper Polarity before installation. Electrostatic Discharge (ESD): ESD can damage LED fixt ures. Personal grounding equipment must be w orn during all installation or servicing of the unit. Do not touch individual electrical components as this can cause ESD, shorten lamp life, or alter per f or m ance. Some components inside the fixture may not be serviceable. In the unlikely event your unit may require service, st op using t he unit im m ediat ely and cont act an ABL represent at ive for assist ance. Alw ays read the fixtures complete installation instructions prior to installation for any additional fixture specific w arnings. Alw ays ensure that the electrical distribution system is up to NEC (and any applicable local code) r equi r em ent s. Verify that pow er distribution system has proper grounding. Lack of proper earth ground can lead to fixture failure and may void w arranty. All luminaires t hat contain elect ronic devices t hat generat e frequencies above 9kHz from any component w it hin t he luminaire comply w it h Part 15 of t he FCC Rules. Rem ove lam ps and channel/ ballast cover from exist ing fixt ure. Ident ify and disconnect pow er supply w ires. Rem ove ballast (s), invert inst all lam pholders, and rem ove int ernal wiring t o provide adequate clearance for Retrofit Kit inst allat ion. Represent at ive t andem host housing wit h lam ps, channel cover, lam pholder bracket s, and lam pholders rem oved. Step 2: Inst all t he LED Driver provided inside t he housing at t he same location as ballast using t he self t apping screw s provided. 912-00089-002 #8-18 PAN HEAD TEK SCREW S Page 5 of 7 LED IM PORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS LBK TROFFER Step 3: At t ach safety tet her t o host housing using exist ing nail pierce/ extruded holes and provided self t apping screw s. Cent er and inst all Light bar in host housing using self t apping screw s provided (m inim um 2 screw on eit her side). Connect LED Harness (red and blue) t o t he LED Driver (red and blue). NOTE: If there is more than one Lightbar, connect individual LED harnesses to the LED driver in the housing using red and blue wire jumpers provided. (See w iring below ) M ake sure t o rout e t he w ire jum pers t hrough exist ing knockout s on housing endcaps and use t he bushing provided t o prot ect t he wire jum pers.
