Revox C100 Multiuser Remote Control

Introduction

The Revox C100 IR remote control is a versatile universal remote designed for the Revox Multiuser system. It can control all Multiuser devices equipped with a built-in or external infrared receiver. Devices like the M300 and M500 feature integrated IR receivers, while others, such as the V219 or M30 side room amplifiers, can be enhanced with external IR receivers like the M204 or the C18 Multiuser Wall Control. The C100 facilitates everyday functions of the Multiuser system, including user selection and managing user favorites stored in the Multiuser App. Basic functions are pre-programmed, with advanced programming available through specialist personnel to enable numerous additional functions. The configurator dictates the function of each IR command. Via a proxy, IP commands can also be sent to other network devices. Beyond the Revox Multiuser system, the C100 includes an IR database for controlling numerous TV manufacturers, allowing basic TV operation. Manufacturer selection is done via a 4-digit numerical code.

Battery Management

Battery Replacement

When the remote control's batteries weaken, indicated by a reduced range, they can be replaced. Remove the battery cover on the back of the remote. Use the tip of a ballpoint pen to gently pry out the old batteries from the marked points. Insert new batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Batteries should always be replaced in pairs.

The back of the C100 remote control is shown. The required replacement batteries are two CR2032 / 3V cells.

Disposal of Batteries

Original equipment batteries are free from harmful substances like cadmium, lead, and mercury. Used batteries must not be disposed of with household waste according to the Battery Ordinance. Dispose of used batteries free of charge in designated collection containers provided by retailers or at your specialist dealer.

TV Programming

Programming by Model Number

To program the remote for a specific TV, press the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the green LED flashes twice. Enter the 4-digit TV code corresponding to your television brand from the provided code list. The green LED will flash twice to confirm the code input. If an incorrect code is entered, the LED will light up for 2 seconds, and the remote will revert to its original mode. If the TV does not respond or reacts incorrectly, repeat the process with the next code from the list. If no listed codes work, use the automatic code search option. The remote will automatically return to its original mode if no key is pressed for 10 seconds during programming.

Search with Manufacturer Number

Turn on your television. Press the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the green LED flashes twice. Enter the four-digit manufacturer number from the manufacturer list. The LED will flash twice to confirm. Press and hold the [Power TV] button until the television switches off. Immediately release the button and press the [OK] button to save the selected code. If a 4-digit code is not recognized, the green LED will light up for 2 seconds, indicating an error, and the remote will reset. If your TV brand is not listed, the remote may flash 5 times, indicating you should use the automatic search function.

Automatic Search

Turn on your television. Press the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the green LED flashes twice. Enter the code 1 0 0 1. The green LED will flash twice to confirm. Press and hold the [Power TV] button until the television switches off. This process may take up to 15 minutes. Release the button immediately and press [OK] to save the code. If the [Power TV] button is not released promptly after the TV turns off, restart the search. The search will resume from where it was interrupted.

Reading Out the Code

To read an already programmed code: Turn on your television. Press the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the green LED flashes twice. Enter the code 1 0 0 2. To find the first digit, press the 1 key; the LED will flash that number of times (e.g., three times for '3'). For the second digit, press the 2 key (e.g., five times for '5'). For the third digit, press the 3 key (e.g., six times for '6'). The 4 key is used for the fourth digit. If a digit is '0', the LED will not flash. The remote returns to its original mode if no key is pressed for 10 seconds.

Resetting the Remote

Press the [Up Arrow] and [Down Arrow] buttons simultaneously for at least 5 seconds until the green LED flashes twice. Enter the code 9 9 9 9. The green LED will flash twice to confirm.
