  1. Connect one end of the included Ethernet cable to the router firewall's 'Internet' port and the other end to your modem or data terminal equipment (DTE).
  2. Connect the included power adapter to the router firewall and plug it into a power outlet.
  3. Observe the LED indicators on the front of the device. Refer to the LED status guide for interpretation.
  4. Tap '[Next: Connect and Upgrade]' to continue.

Note on PPPoE: If your internet service provider requires PPPoE settings, you will need to configure these separately using the router firewall's built-in management tool. Refer to the appendix for detailed PPPoE setup instructions.

Step 5: Connect Devices

Finally, connect your devices (PCs, printers, access points, etc.) to the router firewall.

  1. Connect your PC to one of the available LAN ports (ports 2, 3, 4, or 5) on the router firewall using an Ethernet cable. Ensure your PC's Wi-Fi is turned off.
  2. Ensure your PC's TCP/IPv4 properties are set to 'Obtain an IP address automatically'.
  3. Open a web browser and navigate to wired.meraki.com or the router firewall's default gateway IP address (found using the command prompt: ipconfig).
  4. Click the '[Configure]' tab.
  5. Enter the router firewall's serial number in the 'Username' field. Leave the 'Password' field blank.
  6. Click '[Login]'.
  7. Under 'Uplink configuration', set the 'Connection type' to 'PPPoE'.
  8. Select 'Use authentication' from the 'Authentication' dropdown.
  9. Enter your PPPoE username and password provided by your ISP.
  10. Click '[Save]'.

Your Meraki Go Router Firewall setup is now complete. You can now connect your devices and access the internet.

Appendix: PPPoE Setup

PPPoE (Point-to-Point Protocol over Ethernet) may be required for certain internet connections, such as some fiber optic or ADSL services, especially when your modem does not have a built-in router function or when the router function is disabled.

PPPoE settings are configured through the router firewall's built-in management tool, not the Meraki Go app.

Required Information:

Note: Some ISPs may require specific MTU size settings. If this is the case, after completing the initial setup, navigate to the '[Settings]' tab in the Meraki Go app, then '[Your Account]', and contact support with the required MTU value.
