HANTECH Quick Connector: Installation and Usage Guide
Brand: HANTECH
Product Overview
This document provides essential instructions for using the HANTECH quick connector, designed for the simple and safe connection of indoor and outdoor units in air conditioning systems. This product ensures a quick and secure connection, facilitating complete warranty claims. It operates as a closed system with an automatic safety valve, preventing refrigerant leakage by ensuring the connector is sealed before refrigerant flow can occur.
The integrated safety valve prevents improper refrigerant operations like pipe venting or system filling. For optimal performance and safety, the installation and maintenance of this product must always be performed by a qualified operator.
Diagram Descriptions
Diagram 1: Illustrates the connection pipes. Pipe A1 is identified as the liquid pipe (1/4" or 6.35 mm). Pipe A2 is identified as the suction pipe (1/2" or 12.7 mm or 3/8" or 9.52 mm). Part 4 indicates a connector.
Diagram 2: Shows the indoor unit with connectors A1 and A2, and the corresponding pipe connectors.
Diagram 3: Depicts the outdoor unit connectors, including stop valves (labeled 'Stop valve') and pipe connections A1 and A2.
Important Notice
Notice! Please note that it is essential to connect the connectors and valves accurately and correctly.
Installation and Usage Instructions
Please read and follow the following provisions:
-
Step 1: Prepare the Pipeline
Carefully spread the pipeline. Ensure this step is executed with great care.
-
Step 2: Remove Indoor Unit Protective Caps
Remove the protective caps from connectors A1 and A2 of the indoor unit.
-
Step 3: Check Connections for Cleanliness
Ensure that every bolt is in good condition and free from dirt particles such as dust, sand, or any other suspended solid and dirt.
-
Step 4: Connect Pipes to Indoor Unit
Use your hands to screw down the Quick Pipe Connectors 1 and 2 to the connectors A1 and A2. Afterwards, use two wrenches (one for fixing the connectors and the other for screwing down the quick pipe connectors) to screw the nuts until the non-return circles are reached. Repeat this step for all connecting pieces.
-
Step 5: Connect to Outdoor Unit
Remove the protective caps from the stop valves. Connect the pipe to the connectors of the outdoor unit.
-
Step 6: Open Valves for Refrigerant Flow
Use a hexagon wrench to completely close the valves and then open the stop valves for the refrigerant cycle.
-
Step 7: Leak Detection
Check the closure and air tightness of the refrigerant cycle of the device. Use leakage detecting spray or soap suds (used for producing foam) to check the connecting structures. The appearance of air bubbles will indicate the existence of leaks. In this case, it is a must to close the 2 stop valves. Check the connecting structure and repeat Step 6.
-
Step 8: Finalize Connections and Prevent Condensation
After detecting any leakage, it is imperative to screw down the protective caps of the stop valves again. In addition, it is necessary to insulate the quick connectors to avoid condensation.
