Einhell Power X-Change Plus MULTI-Ah Battery Pack
Product Overview
This document provides instructions for the Einhell Power X-Change Plus MULTI-Ah battery pack. It covers how to convert the battery's capacity between different modes, check its charge level, and understand error codes.
Safety Warning: Always read all safety instructions and guidelines carefully before use.
Battery Capacity Conversion
The battery pack can be converted between two capacity modes:
- 45.116.60 (5.0 Ah / 90 Wh): This mode is gentler on the battery, extending its total service life by approximately 3 times.
- 45.116.01 (8.0 Ah / 144 Wh): This mode offers a longer running time per battery charge.
The battery is supplied in the 45.116.60 (5.0 Ah / 90 Wh) configuration.
To convert the battery:
- Press and hold the battery capacity indicator button (A) for approximately 6 seconds until the battery display (B) starts counting from 1 to 9. Release the button.
- To convert from 45.116.60 (5.0 Ah / 90 Wh) to 45.116.01 (8.0 Ah / 144 Wh), briefly press button (A) when the number 8 is displayed. The count will then continue to 9. (Code: 000000010)
- To convert from 45.116.01 (8.0 Ah / 144 Wh) to 45.116.60 (5.0 Ah / 90 Wh), briefly press button (A) when the number 5 is displayed. The count will then continue to 9. (Code: 000010000)
- After the display (B) counts up to 9, the capacity of the converted article ("8Ah" or "5Ah") will be shown for about 2 seconds.
Important: Conversion only occurs if button (A) is pressed precisely when digit 5 or 8 appears. This prevents accidental conversion. After conversion, the battery is considered a different device with a different article number. The new specification label can be obtained from www.isc-gmbh.info.
Attention for Shipping: For lithium-ion batteries to be shipped or transported according to special provision 188, they must be converted to 45.116.60 (5.0 Ah / 90 Wh). Defective lithium-ion batteries must not be shipped normally. Contact iSC GmbH, Eschenstraße 6, 94405 Landau/Isar (Germany) for assistance.
Battery Charge Level Indicator
Briefly press the battery charge level indicator button (A). The display (B) will show the charge status in % and then the current capacity, each for 2 seconds.
Note: The charge level will adjust after conversion. If the battery had 100% charge in the 5.0 Ah mode and is converted to 8.0 Ah mode, the charge level will be significantly lower. Recharge the battery in this case.
