Installation Steps

  1. Prepare the door cutout according to the provided template.
  2. Install the latch mechanism into the door edge.
  3. Install the outside paddle assembly onto the door. Ensure the retractor and latch tailpiece engage correctly.
  4. Slide the inside paddle assembly onto the door. The components should align as shown in Figure 1 and the exploded view.
  5. Use the three mounting screws to secure the assembly.
  6. Note: After setting the paddle assemblies on both sides, slide the paddle downwards on both sides to confirm the latch retracts smoothly without binding. If the latch or paddle binds, loosen the mounting screws, realign the outside and inside paddle assemblies until no binding occurs, then tighten the screws and retry.
  7. Check the lock for correct operation before closing the door.
