This kit is designed to provide a separate power supply for the indoor unit and the outdoor unit. It is specifically used for PUHZ applications where this separation is required.

How to Use / How to Install
This kit is used when the power supply of the indoor unit and the outdoor unit is separated (for PUHZ applications only). Refer to the installation manual of the indoor unit as well.
Provided Parts
Confirm the following parts are included:
- Terminal block (lead wires already wired) x 1
- Screw (to attach terminal block) x 1
- Fastener (to tie lead wires) x 1
- Screw (to secure ground wire) x 1 (For PAC-SG96HR-E only)
Wiring Diagrams
1:1 System:
Diagram shows a 1:1 system wiring. It depicts connections between Outdoor unit power supply [A], Earth leakage breaker [B], Wiring circuit breaker or isolating switch [C], Outdoor unit [D], Indoor unit / outdoor unit connecting cords [E], Remote controller [F], Indoor unit [G], and Indoor unit power supply [J]. For models without heater, the indoor power supply terminal kit is required.
Note: Affix a label B (included with manuals) near each wiring diagram for the indoor and outdoor units.
Simultaneous Twin/Triple/Four System:
Diagram shows a simultaneous twin/triple/four system wiring. It depicts multiple connections for Outdoor unit power supply [A], Earth leakage breaker [B], Wiring circuit breaker or isolating switch [C], Outdoor unit [D], Indoor unit / outdoor unit connecting cords [E], Remote controller [F], Indoor unit [G], and Indoor unit power supply [J]. For models without heater, the indoor power supply terminal kits are required. [K] indicates Indoor unit earth.
Note: Affix a label B (included with manuals) near each wiring diagram for the indoor and outdoor units.
Attachment Method
PAC-SG96HR
Ceiling suspended, PCA-M-KA type:
- Remove the cover of the electric parts box.
- Attach terminal block [1] using screw [2] in the direction shown in the figure. (The terminal block attachment hole is indicated.)
- Change the relay connectors of the blue and yellow lead wires. Secure the ground wire using screw [4] at the position shown in the figure, and then bundle the lead wires using fastener [3]. (Visual cue: Change the yellow and blue relay connectors.)
PAC-SG97HR
Ceiling suspended for kitchens, PCA-RP71HAQ type:
- Remove the terminal block cover of the electric parts box.
- Attach terminal block [1] using screw [2] in the direction shown in the figure. (The terminal block attachment hole is indicated.)
- Change the relay connectors of blue and yellow lead wires, and then bundle the lead wires using fastener [3]. (Visual cue: Change the yellow and blue relay connectors.)
Ceiling concealed, PEAD-M-JA type:
- Remove the cover of the electric parts box.
- Attach terminal block [1] using screw [2] in the direction shown in the figure. (The terminal block attachment hole is indicated.)
- Change the relay connectors of blue and yellow lead wires. (Visual cue: Change the yellow and blue relay connectors.)
Installation Steps
- Electric wiring: Be sure to do the electric wiring following the steps in each indoor unit installation manual.
- Paste labels: Paste the labels (A-C) enveloped in the instruction document of the indoor unit near the electric wiring diagrams of both indoor and outdoor units. Paste label B for separate indoor unit/outdoor unit power supplies.
- DIP switch settings: It is necessary to change the settings of the DIP switch on the outdoor unit control board (when using separate indoor unit / outdoor unit power supplies only). Refer to the diagram for ON/OFF settings for SW8.
- Test run: Perform a test run following the steps in the installation manual of the outdoor unit.
Connector Configuration
Change of connectors (except PCA-M-KA type)
