Common Problems

Fail to Pair Wi-Fi Devices to eWeLink APP

  1. Ensure the device is in pairing mode. It will automatically exit after 3 minutes of unsuccessful pairing.
  2. Turn on location services and allow location permission. This is required to scan for Wi-Fi networks.
  3. Verify your Wi-Fi network is on the 2.4GHz band.
  4. Confirm you have entered the correct Wi-Fi SSID and password. Avoid special characters.
  5. Place the device close to the router during pairing for a stable signal.

Wi-Fi Devices "Offline" Issue

Check the Wi-Fi LED indicator status:

  • LED blinks once every 2s (Fail to connect to router):
    1. Incorrect Wi-Fi SSID or password.
    2. Wi-Fi SSID/password contains unsupported special characters (e.g., Hebrew, Arabic).
    3. Router has low capacity or is overloaded.
    4. Weak Wi-Fi signal strength or obstacles between device and router.
    5. Device MAC address is blacklisted by your router.
  • LED flashes twice (Fail to connect to server):
    1. Check your internet connection.
    2. Router has low capacity; consider reducing connected devices or upgrading the router.
    3. Contact your ISP to ensure server addresses are not blocked:
      • cn-disp.coolkit.cc (China Mainland)
      • as-disp.coolkit.cc (Asia except China)
      • eu-disp.coolkit.cc (EU)
      • us-disp.coolkit.cc (US)

If problems persist, submit a request via "Help & Feedback" in the eWeLink APP. ?
