Step 2 Rotate the lever up while holding the tube in place. Warning! The lever must be completely locked in the upright position. Step 3 Slide the locking sleeve down until it is fully seated. 3 Step 4 Align the arrows on the handlebar and tube conectors. Once arrows are aligned, push them together firmly. Step 5 Slide the handlebar assembly into the tube. Push the handle bar assembly down until it is fully seated. Step 6 Install four screws to the top of the tube using the provided Hex wrench. Tighten the screws until they are snug. 4 Step 7 Check front air tire pressure. Inflate air tire to 25 PSI. Warning! It is important to maintain proper air pressure in the front tire while riding. Do not overinflate or underinflate the tires. Overinflated tires may burst. Inflate your tires using an air source with a pressure gauge to avoid over inflation. 5 FLYER TM A P P U SAG E Connect to eScooter NEARBY FLYERTM SCOOTERS Scan FlyerS533-203271226 Dashboard 52% BATTERY LIFE MAX SPEED SETTING 1 9 MPH 2 12 MPH 3 16 MPH LOCK LIGHT Install the App Download the FlyerTM App using the App Store or on Google Play. 6 Connect to your eScooter Power on the eScooter and ensure your device has Bluetooth turned on. Click "Connect to eScooter" within the App and select your scooter's serial number. The app will prompt you to review safe riding instructions. Review prior to riding. Flyer App Capabilities The FlyerTM App allows you to change speed settings, turn the headlight on and off, lock the motor, access troubleshooting information, as well as update your firmware. ESCOOTER CONTROLS Power On Hold down power button for 1 second. An audible "beep" will sound, and the dash will illuminate. Power Off Hold down power button for 2 seconds. An audible "beep" will sound, and the dash will turn off. Change Speed Setting Tap the power button twice to change speed setting. Reference speed mode indicator in the Dash Display section of the user manual. Headlight Tap the power button once to turn the headlight on and off. 7 DASH D I SP L AY SPEEDOMETER BATTERY LEVEL SPEED MODE POWER BUTTON ( M U LT I F U N C T I O N A L ) C H A NGE SPE ED : Tap power button twice to change speed setting. Beginner Max Speed = 9 mph (15 km/h) 8 Intermediate Max Speed = 12 mph (20 km/h) (Yellow) Advanced Max Speed = 16 mph (26 km/h) (Red) CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS WARNING: Do not attempt to charge if the charging port or power adapter is wet. No user serviceable parts. 9 HOW TO RIDE THROTTLE BRAKE STOMP BRAKE Kick to Start Place one foot on the deck, and use your other to kick the scooter forwards. While rolling, gently rotate the throttle to accelerate. Braking Use the stomp brake or the left thumb trigger on the handle bars to stop or decelerate the scooter. For more immediate braking use the stomp brake. Warning! Beginner riders should start by riding in Beginner mode (Max Speed: 9 mph (15 km/h)) 10 FOLDING Step 1 Slide locking sleeve up. Step 2 Rotate the lever down while holding the tube upright to avoid sudden folding. Step 3 Rotate the tube 90 degrees until it is resting on the stomp brake. Step 4 Push the handlebar down until the latch engages with the slot on the top of the stomp brake. Once engaged, the latch remains fixed to the rear stomp brake for easy carrying. 11 UNFOLDING Step 1 Push down the stomp brake to free the handlebar latch. Step 2 Rotate the tube 90 degrees until it is in the upright position. Step 3 Rotate the lever 90 degrees to the upright position. Apply force to lock the lever into the locked position. Step 4 Slide the locking sleeve down until it is fully seated. 12 WARNING: Failure to follow unfolding instructions could result in unintentional folding. Hard to remove dirt can be scrubbed with a toothbrush, then cleaned with a damp cloth. Do not wash your FlyerTM S533 with alcohol, gasoline, acetone, or other corrosive solvents. These substances may damage the appearance and internal structure of your FlyerTM S533. Do not wash your FlyerTM S533 with a power washer or hose. WARNING: Make sure your FlyerTM S533 is powered OFF and the charging cable is unplugged before cleaning; otherwise you may damage the electronic components. Storage Temperatures: 14104°F (-10-40°C) BATTERY PACK MAINTENANCE Do not store or charge the battery at temperatures outside of the stated limits (see specifications). Do not puncture the battery. Refer to your local laws and regulations regarding battery recycling and/or disposal. Charge the battery after each ride to avoid draining the battery completely. When used at room temperature (70°F [22°C]) the battery range and performance is best. WARNING: Do not attempt to disassemble the battery. Risk of fire. What is the maximum speed of the scooter? How to turn on/off the headlight? Why does my throttle not activate the scooter? What is the proper air pressure level for the front tire? What is the diameter of the front and rear tires? I have a flat fromt tire, what to do? My charger light stays green when plugged in immediately after I finish a ride. My battery does not last 15.5 miles. Why does the battery life continue to get shorter over time? Reference maintenance information and additional troubleshooting documentation via the Flyer App INSTRUCTIONS AND SAFETY GUIDELINES Before each use, conduct a basic safety inspection of the FlyerTM S533, including: (i) trueness of the wheels & condition of tires; (ii) safe operation of all brakes and lights; (iii) good condition of the frame; (iv) sufficient battery charge power; and (v) any sign of damage, unusual or excessive wear, or other open and obvious mechanical problem/maintenance needs. Components shall be maintained and repaired in accordance with the manufacturer's specifications. Only the manufacturer's authorized replacement parts should be used to service your FlyerTM S533. Do not modify the scooter as it will void your warranty and introduce potential safety issues. Read and understand all safety warnings listed on the product label. · Recommended age: 16+ years old. · Maximum weight: 220 lb (100 kg). No more than one rider should ride at a time. · Risk of injury or death from loss of control, collisions, and falls. Helmets and other protective equipment are highly recommended and may be required by law. · Product warranty can be found by visiting flyer.radioflyer.com. · Comply with local laws and regulations when riding this product. Do not ride where prohibited. · Ensure the intended area of operation is safe. Do not ride in the snow, in the rain, or on roads which are wet, muddy, icy, or that are slippery for any reason. Do not ride over obstacles. Avoid sharp bumps, drainage grates, and sudden surface changes. · Avoid streets and surfaces with water, sand, gravel, dirt, leaves, and other debris. · The scooter should not be used for racing, stunt riding, or other maneuvers. · For shorter stopping distance, use the stomp brake in addition to the E-brake located on the handlebar. When traveling down hill or at high speeds the E-brake should not be used alone. 17 · Avoid contact with moving parts. Ensure hands, feet, hair, clothing, and other body parts stay clear of moving parts like the motor or front wheel. · ALWAYS keep both hands on the handlebar when riding. · You should not ride the FlyerTM S533: · if under the influence of alcohol or drugs, · if you have a heart condition, are pregnant, have head, back, or neck ailments which limit your ability to ride safely, · if you have any mental or physical conditions that may make you susceptible to injury or impair your physical dexterity or mental capabilities to recognize, understand, and perform all of the safety instructions and to be able to assume the hazards inherent with the FlyerTM S533. · DO NOT attempt to disassemble the battery. Risk of fire. · Never modify the electrical system as this may result in a risk of electric shock, electrocution, or fire. · DO NOT attempt to charge a vehicle while wet. · DO NOT ride or attempt to charge a vehicle that has been submerged in water or if there is risk of water intrusion into the battery compartment, even if the vehicle is no longer wet.
