Important Safety Information
IMPORTANT NOTE: This appliance is intended for indoor home cooking only.
WARNING: Failure to follow instructions may result in loss of warranty and potential hazards.

General Safety Precautions:
- Read all safety information carefully before installing and/or using this appliance.
- Keep this manual for future use or in case of transfer of ownership.
- Check the appliance for damage after unpacking. Do not install if damaged; contact an authorized service center immediately.
- Operate the range hood only as outlined in this manual.
- Do not leave the appliance unattended when operating.
- Clean the metal grease filter regularly.
- The motor has a thermal overload function; it will automatically turn off and restart when cooled. If it repeatedly turns off, contact a service center.
- If the appliance has not been used for an extended period, unplug it.
- Installation and electrical wiring must be done by qualified personnel according to applicable codes and standards.
- When operating in exhaust mode, ensure the damper is installed.
- Do not use to exhaust hazardous or explosive materials or gas.
- Use only metal duct cover and metal duct pipes. Never cover the hood with flammable plastic film or paper.
- For products installed in airtight rooms, consider installing a supplementary air device.
- This product is for use in the U.S. and Canada only.
Electrical Safety:
- The range hood must be connected to a standard power socket with safe grounding.
- Do not exceed 120V AC input.
- Do not install in bathrooms or humid areas.
- Do not change or damage the power cord.
- Prevent water from contacting electrical components. Do not wash the appliance with water.
- Do not attempt to change the range hood's internal wiring system.
- Turn off the power source before installation, cleaning, and maintenance.
- Avoid high-pressure detergents and steam cleaners.
- Do not touch the plug or switch with wet hands.
- Improper grounding can result in electric shock. Consult a qualified electrician if unsure.
- Do not use an extension cord.
Fire Safety:
- Always duct air outside. Do not vent exhaust air into walls, ceilings, attics, crawl spaces, or garages.
- Clean the Grease Cup regularly to prevent grease deposits from igniting.
- Never operate the range hood without the Grease Cup filter attachment.
- Do not work with naked flames near the appliance.
- Avoid cooking with food products that produce flames under the range hood.
- To reduce the risk of cooktop grease fires: never leave surface units unattended at high settings, turn the hood on during cooking, clean ventilating fans, and use proper pan size.
- In case of a grease fire: smother flames with a lid, cookie sheet, or metal tray, then turn off the burner. Evacuate and call the fire department if flames do not go out immediately. Never use water.
Risk of Injury:
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless supervised.
- Children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance.
- The range hood may have sharp edges; wear protective gloves during installation and cleaning.
- Accessible parts become hot during operation; never touch hot parts. Keep children at a safe distance.
- Do not touch lamps during or soon after operation.
- Do not insert limbs or foreign objects into the impeller while the range hood is in operation.
- Incorrect repairs are dangerous; only authorized technicians should perform repairs.
- If abnormalities occur, turn off and unplug the appliance, then contact an authorized service center.
Risk of Suffocation:
- Packaging material is dangerous to children; keep it out of their reach.
Risk of Death:
- Ensure adequate fresh air if operating in exhaust mode simultaneously with a room air-dependent heat-producing appliance.
- Fotile is not responsible for injuries caused by improper or incorrect operation.
Operation
Control Panel Overview:
The control panel includes:
- Sensor Windows (left and right)
- Lock Screen button
- Delay button
- Lighting button
- Power button
- High-setting/Super-high-setting Fan button
- Medium-setting Fan button
- Low-setting Fan button
- Sensor Window
Operation Procedures:
- GESTURE Function: Wave hands quickly through the sensor windows to open the smoke baffle plate, start the hood on high setting, and turn on lights. Wave again to turn off all functions. To enable/disable GESTURE, press Lighting and Medium-setting Fan simultaneously for 5 seconds.
- POWER Button: Press to activate the range hood. Press again to turn it off. All other buttons (except LOCK SCREEN) only work when the POWER button is active.
- FAN Buttons (High/Super-High, Medium, Low): Press to start the fan at the selected speed. Press again to stop the motor. Hold the High-setting/Super-high-setting Fan button for 2 seconds to switch between high and super-high settings.
- LIGHTING Button: Opens the smoke baffle plate and turns on the lights. Press again to turn off the light.
- DELAY Button: Press while the motor is working to activate a two-minute delay before shutting off. Press again during the delay to stop the delay and maintain the current working state. Pressing any other button during delay exits the delay mode. The DELAY button does not work when the range hood is not working.
- LOCK SCREEN Button: Press and hold for 2 seconds when the fan is not operating to lock all buttons. Press and hold for 2 seconds again to unlock. The LOCK SCREEN button does not work when the fan is operating.
Hints:
- The range hood will turn off automatically if not operated for 2 minutes in standby mode.
- It is suggested to turn on the range hood during steaming to keep the kitchen air fresh.
Cleaning and Maintenance
IMPORTANT NOTE: Reattach the grease filter after cleaning. Do not operate without the grease filter.
CAUTION: Clean stainless steel surfaces in the direction of the grain. Do not use abrasive cleaning agents.
WARNING: Clean only as instructed to prevent ignition. Do not wet the motor or control panel. Do not use chemical agents like gasoline or benzene.
WARNING: Grease deposits in the grease filter and Grease Cup may catch fire. Clean the oil cup regularly.
WARNING: Wear protective gloves during cleaning.
Cleaning Steps:
- Unplug the range hood or turn off the power.
- Clear cookware from the burners.
- Prepare a neutral detergent and a soft cloth or soft brush.
- Clean the surface of the range hood with a soft cloth.
- Take out the oil cup horizontally and wash it. Clean oil and sediment regularly to avoid fire risk.
- Lightly press the POWER button, then the LIGHTING button to open the smoke baffle plate.
- Hold the two sides of the grease filter and pull sideward to unlock it. The filter is dishwasher safe.
Replacing LED Lights:
- Press POWER, then LIGHTING to open the smoke baffle plate.
- Unplug the range hood or turn off the power.
- Use a small flat-head screwdriver to gently pry out the LED assembly.
- Disconnect the wires and replace the LED lights.
WARNING: Disconnect power before replacing LED lights to avoid electric shock.
FAQ
- Problem: After pressing the POWER button, the range hood remains off and the button does not illuminate.
Possible Cause: The appliance may be unplugged. - Problem: The motor works, but the control panel buttons do not illuminate.
Possible Cause: LED lights have been damaged.
WARNING: Incorrect repairs are dangerous. Contact an authorized service center for repairs or damaged power cable replacement.
Service Information
WARNING: If an abnormal condition occurs, stop using the appliance, disconnect power, and contact an authorized Fotile service center.
- The appliance must only be repaired by professionally trained and certified technicians.
- Do not repair or replace any part unless suggested in the manual.
- The following circumstances are not covered under free warranty:
- Damage from improper handling, installation, use, or maintenance.
- Failure caused by using the product beyond normal operating conditions (e.g., voltage outside 104V-132V).
- Installation, dismantling, or repair by unauthorized personnel.
- Discrepancy between purchase voucher/warranty card and the product.
- Product damage caused by force majeure (natural disaster, war).
- Product failure arising from use not in conformity with instructions.
Installation
IMPORTANT NOTE: Read the Installation Manual carefully and save it for reference. Installation must comply with National Electrical Codes and local codes.
CAUTION: Two installers are recommended due to the size and weight. Professional installers are required.
WARNING: Installation and wiring must be done by a professional electrician. Product failure due to improper installation is not covered under warranty.
WARNING: Use standard installation equipment and tools. Ensure the appliance is securely fixed to the wall.
Installation Height:
The distance from the countertop of the gas stove to the top board of the range hood shall be not less than 29 9/16" (750 mm) and not more than 32 1/2" (825 mm). Comply with relevant state or regional laws for mounting height.
Wall Preparation:
The wall must be strong enough to support the range hood. For hollow walls, the minimum lumber thickness should be 13/16" (30mm). For concrete walls, installation can be direct. Ensure the range hood is firmly fixed.
Ductwork Installation:
- Ducted fans must always be vented to the outdoors.
- A straight and short ducting run ensures high performance. Avoid curving and long ducting runs.
- Seal the connection between the duct and duct hole with duct tape. Seal the connection between the duct and duct cover with aluminum tape.
- A duct hole equal to or larger than 6" (152.4mm) is recommended.
- Use only metric-size bolts provided.

Installation Tools:
Electric Screw Driver, Scissors, Tin Snips, Hammer, Philips Screwdriver, Tape Measure, Pencil, Triangular Rule, Gloves, Batten, Tape, Gradienter, Electric Drill, Electric Saw, Wooden Stake Detector, Safety Goggles.
Installation Procedure (with Upper Cabinet):
- Unpack and check accessories.
- Locate wooden beam and mark location.
- Locate duct bracket, determine central point, mark centerline, and mark screw hole locations. Ensure bracket is level.
- Fix hooks using hook screws, ensuring they are level.
- Place hole-drilling template and drill holes. Wear safety goggles.
- Remove protective film from stainless steel surfaces and Grease Cup.
- Lift and position the hood onto the brackets at the backside, then push tightly against the wall. (Two installers recommended).
- Secure the main body using screws and supporting gaskets. Ensure at least two screws are secured before releasing. Use wood pads if there is a gap between the cabinet and the hood.
- Place the seal at the air outlet, fix the outlet housing with bolts, and secure the duct to the duct cover, sealing with aluminum tape.
- Ensure the hood is leveled. Install the Grease Cup and plug in for a test run.
CAUTION: Test for smoke pipe air leaks after sealing.
Installation Procedure (with Decorative Plate and Upper Cabinet):
- Unpack and check accessories.
- Locate wooden beam and mark location.
- Locate duct bracket, safety buffer baffle, and decorative cover bracket. Determine installation points based on cooker table and mark for drilling. Ensure brackets are leveled.
- Secure brackets to the wall with screws.
- Place the seal at the air outlet, fix the outlet housing with bolts, and fix outer cover bolts.
- Remove protective film.
- Lift and position the hood onto mounting screws. Install the safety buffer baffle above the hood. (Two installers recommended).
- Secure the duct to the duct cover and seal with aluminum tape. Ensure the hood is leveled. Install the Grease Cup and plug in for a test run.
- Install the decorative cover and fan cover by hanging the decorative cover on the hook and lowering the fan cover until fastened.
- Install the Grease Cup.
Installation Procedure (Decorative Cover Without Upper Cabinet):
- Unpack and check accessories.
- Locate wooden beam and mark location.
- Locate duct bracket, safety buffer baffle, and decorative cover bracket. Determine installation points based on cooker table and mark for drilling. Ensure brackets are leveled.
- Secure brackets to the wall with screws.

Test Run After Installation:
- Press the POWER button, then the LIGHTING button. The smoke baffle plate and lights should operate normally.
- Press the fan buttons to check the motor. If any malfunctions occur (e.g., violent vibration, impeller not working, strange sounds), unplug the hood immediately and re-check installation. Contact a service center if the malfunction persists.
- Press the POWER button again to turn off the fan and close the smoke baffle plate.
