Cockpit Overview
Key controls and indicators in the cockpit include:
- 1. Cruise control switch

Instrument Panel
The instrument panel features:

Meters and Gauges

Hood Latch
To open the hood, pull the hood release handle located below the instrument panel. Lift the hood and pull the lever to the left to unlock. Insert the support rod into the slot. To close, drop the hood from 8-12 inches (20-30 cm). The wipers will not function if the hood sensor detects it is not completely latched.
Parking Brake
To apply the electric parking brake, press the handle located below the instrument panel. To release, pull the handle toward you while the ignition is on. The brake automatically releases when the accelerator pedal is depressed under certain conditions (e.g., seatbelt fastened).
Sun Visors
Sun visors can be pulled down to block front glare, detached from the center mount and swung to the side for side glare, or extended by sliding them out from the mount.
Seat Adjustments
Manual Seat Adjustments (if equipped):
- Forward/Backward: Pull lever 1 under the seat.
- Seat Angle: Turn hand-wheel 2.
- Seat Height: Pull up or push down lever 3.
- Seatback Angle: Turn hand-wheel 4.
- Lumbar Support: Push sides of adjusting switch 5.
Power Seat Adjustments (if equipped):
- Forward/Backward: Move switch 6 on the door.
- Reclining: Move switch 7 forward or backward.
- Seat Height: Pull up or push down switch 8.
- Front Seat Angle: Tilt up or down switch 9.
Head Restraint Adjustment (if so equipped)
- Raise: Pull head restraint up.
- Lower: Push and hold lock knob 1 and push head restraint down.
- Move Forward: Pull head restraint forward until engaged.
- Move Backward: Press and hold button 2 and push head restraint backward.
Lane Departure Warning (LDW) (if so equipped)
LDW warns of unintentional lane departure via visual alerts and steering wheel vibration. To enable/disable LDW:
- Navigate to the DriveAssist menu using steering wheel buttons 1 (◄/►).
- Select Lane Departure Warning using buttons 1 (▲/▼).
- Press OK button 1 to change the setting to Off, Adaptive, or Standard 3.
Exterior Light Operation
Exterior light controls include:
- 1. Left-hand parking lights
- 2. Right-hand parking lights
- 3. Side lights, license plate lights, combination meter lighting
- 4. Automatic headlight mode
- 5. Low beam/high beam headlights
- 6. Rear fog light switch
- 7. Front fog light switch (if equipped)
For normal operation, leave the exterior light switch in the AUTO position.
Wiper and Washer Switch
Windshield Wipers: Turn switch 1 for continuous (fast/slow), intermittent (high/low sensitivity), or OFF. Press button 2 for a single wipe or to activate the washer and wipers.
Rear Wiper and Washer: Turn switch 3 for wipes with washer fluid, intermittent wiping, OFF, or wipes with washer fluid then returns to OFF.
USB Connection Port
Two USB ports are located under the control panel for connecting compatible devices. Press the MEDIA button to select audio playback. A second device can be connected for charging.
Clock Set/Adjustment
To adjust the clock:
- Press the MENU button 1 on the Infiniti controller.
- Touch the "Settings" key, then the "Clock" key.
- Adjust "On-Screen Clock", "Daylight Savings Time", "Clock Format", and "Time Zone".
- Use "Offset Adjustment" 2 to set the time forward or backward by minutes or hours (up to 12 hours 59 minutes difference).
Fuel-filler Door
To open the fuel-filler door, unlock the vehicle and gently push the front side of the door.
Opening the Liftgate
Press the F1 button on the Intelligent Key and then press the liftgate release 1. The liftgate also unlocks automatically if you are carrying the Intelligent Key and press the liftgate request switch 1.
Electronic Shift Lever
- N (Neutral): Push or pull the lever until resistance is felt, then release.
- R (Reverse): Push the lever forward past resistance and release.
- D (Drive): Pull the lever backward past resistance and release.
- P (Park): Ensure the vehicle is stopped and press the P (Park) button 1.
The transmission automatically shifts to N if the ignition is switched off in D or R. The vehicle also automatically shifts to P if the driver's door is opened while stationary or moving at low speed.
Windows
All power windows can be operated from the driver's door main switch 1. Button 2 disables rear passenger window operation. The convenience feature allows simultaneous locking/unlocking and closing/opening of windows from outside using the Intelligent Key by touching the sensor surface 3 on the door handle or pressing the if button.
Idle Stop/Start (ISS)
The ISS system conserves fuel by stopping the engine under certain conditions (e.g., vehicle stopped). The engine restarts when the brake pedal is released. The ISS status is indicated by a light in the vehicle information display 1. The system can be temporarily deactivated using the Idle Stop/Start system on/off switch 2.
Intelligent Park Assist (IPA) (if so equipped)
IPA is an electronic parking aid for parallel and perpendicular parking. When IPA detects a parking space, the parking symbol (1) appears. To use IPA:
- Stop the vehicle and shift to Reverse (R).
- A "Start Park Assist" message appears; press OK on the steering wheel to enable IPA.
- Release the steering wheel; control acceleration, braking, and gear shifting.
- Stop when the sonar emits a continuous warning tone. A message will indicate gear changes if needed.
- When complete, "ParkAssist switched off" appears. Shift to Park (P) and apply the parking brake.
Voice Recognition
For optimal performance, ensure the cabin is quiet and speak naturally. To use the system:
- Press the voice command button 1 (6) on the steering wheel.
- Speak your command after the tone.
- To skip prompts, press the voice command button 1 (6) again and speak the command.
- To cancel, press and hold the voice command button 1 (6).
Connecting your Cellular Phone or Device via Bluetooth®
Pair your phone for hands-free use:
- Press the MENU button on the Infiniti controller.
- Touch "Settings" on the center display, then "Phone/Mail".
- Touch "Connect Device", then "Add New".
- If a PIN appears, enter/confirm it on your Bluetooth® device.
For connectivity issues, reboot your phone or device.
Bluetooth® Streaming Audio
Listen to audio from a compatible Bluetooth® device wirelessly through the vehicle's audio system. After pairing your device, press the MEDIA button 1 on the control panel to select Bluetooth® Streaming Audio.

To access:
- Press the MENU button on the Infiniti controller 1.
- Select "Information" 2, then "InTouch Services" 3.
In emergencies, press the SOS button lid (4) and then the in-vehicle SOS button (5).
Available services include: Automatic Collision Notification, Alarm Notification, Maintenance Alerts, Stolen Vehicle Locator, Emergency Call, Roadside Assistance, and more.
Enrollment:
- Create an Infiniti Owner Portal account: https://owners.infinitiusa.com/iowners/
- Enroll in Infiniti InTouch Services from your portal account.
- Download the Infiniti InTouch Services app and log in.
Navigation System (if so equipped)
Use the Infiniti controller 1 and OK button 2 to navigate the display. Press the ↔ button 3 to return to the previous screen. Press the MAP/VOICE button 4 to display the map.
Setting a Route:
- Press MENU button 5.
- Touch "Navigation", then "Destination Menu" 6.
- Select destination method and enter details.
Canceling a Route:
- Press MENU button 5.
- Touch "Navigation", then "Cancel Route" 7.
Cruise Control
Conventional Cruise Control (if equipped): Operates above 20 mph (30 km/h). Use the stalk for setting, accelerating (6), decelerating (7), and cancelling (push away or use brake pedal).
Intelligent Cruise Control (ICC) (if equipped): Maintains a set distance from the vehicle ahead. Turn the knob (See diagram) clockwise to increase distance, counterclockwise to decrease distance.
