Never to do:
- Do not attempt to use the cooker hood without grease filters or if they are excessively greasy.
- Do not install above a cooker with a high-level grill.
- Do not leave frying pans unattended during use, as overheated fats or oils might catch fire.
- Never leave naked flames under the cooker hood.
- If the cooker hood is damaged, do not attempt to use it.
- Do not flambé under the cooker hood.
Caution: Accessible parts may become hot when used with cooking appliances.
- Ensure the minimum distance between the cooking surface and the lowest part of the cooker hood is maintained (at least 65 cm if above a gas appliance).
- The air must not be discharged into a flue used for exhausting fumes from appliances burning gas or other fuels.
Always to do:
- Important! Always switch off the electricity supply at the mains during installation and maintenance, such as light bulb replacement.
- The cooker hood must be installed in accordance with the installation instructions and all measurements followed.
- All installation work must be carried out by a competent person or qualified electrician.
- Dispose of packing material carefully, as it poses a hazard to children.
- Pay attention to sharp edges inside the cooker hood, especially during installation and cleaning.
- Ensure ducting has no bends sharper than 90 degrees to maintain efficiency.
- Always put lids on pots and pans when cooking on a gas cooker.
- When in extraction mode, ensure proper ventilation measures are observed as the hood removes odours but not steam.
- The cooker hood is for domestic use only.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, if supervised or instructed on safe use and hazards. Children must not play with the appliance. User cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by children without supervision.
Warnings:
- Failure to install screws or fixing devices correctly may result in electrical hazards.
- Before accessing terminals, all supply circuits must be disconnected.
- There is a fire risk if cleaning is not carried out according to instructions.
- Follow regulations concerning air discharge.
- Do not store items on cooking surfaces (fire hazard).
- Never try to extinguish a fire with water; switch off the appliance and cover the flame with a lid or fire blanket.
Installation (Vent Outside)
Mounting of the V-flap: If the cooker hood does not have an assembled V-flap (1), mount the half-parts to its body. The diagrams show an example; the outlet may vary by model. To mount the V-flap (1):
- Mount two half-parts (2) into the body (6).
- The pin (3) should be oriented upwards.
- The axis (4) should be inserted into holes (5) on the body.
- Repeat for the second half-part.
Installation Height: For best effect, the cooker hood should be placed 65-75 cm above the cooking surface.
Cabinet Hole:
- Drill a hole in the cupboard: 569*265mm for model 60CM, or 821*265mm for model 85CM. Ensure the distance from the hole edge to the cupboard edge is at least 35mm.
- Remove the aluminum filter, then slide the cooker hood into the cupboard. Use a screwdriver to fasten the screws to secure the hood.
Exhaust Pipe Installation:
- Install the expansion pipe on the outlet and lead it outdoors. Reinstall the aluminum filter. Note: the expansion pipe is not included.
WARNING: For safety reasons, use only the same size fixing or mounting screws as recommended in this manual. Failure to do so may result in electrical hazards.
Starting Use of Your Cooker Hood
Electronic Buttons:
- Power: Controls on/off.
- Speed: Cycles through low/mid/high speeds (indicated by 1-2-3 on LED display).
- Lamp: Turns the light on/off, independent of the power button.
- Timer: Activates a 9-minute auto-off function. The display counts down. Pressing again enters or exits Timer function.
Remote Control Connection:
A new remote control must be paired with the cooker hood for first-time use. One remote can control multiple hoods.
Connection Process:
- Within 15 seconds of connecting power, press and hold the connection button for 5 seconds. Indicators will flash. Press any button on the remote to confirm. The connection is then complete.
- To reconnect, clear the previous code: Press and hold the connection button for 5 seconds (indicators flash), then press again for 5 seconds to clear the code.
- After clearing, the hood returns to standby. Press the connection button for 5 seconds again, then press any remote button to confirm the new connection.
Remote Control Functions:
- Lighting: On/Off.
- Motor Speed: Press to turn on/increase speed (low, mid, high). Press again to cycle through speeds.
- Turning Off/Decreasing Speed: Press to decrease speed, cycling down to off.
- Speed cannot be run simultaneously. Speed up/down works cyclically.
- Timer: Set timer on/off function.
Battery Warning (Remote):
- Do not ingest batteries; chemical burn hazard.
- This product contains button/coin cell batteries. Swallowing can cause severe internal burns within 2 hours and lead to death.
- Keep new and used batteries away from children.
- If the battery compartment does not close securely, stop using the product and keep it away from children.
- If batteries are suspected to be swallowed or placed inside the body, seek immediate medical attention.
- Batteries contain hazardous materials; remove before disposal and dispose of safely.
Battery Warning: Keep Out of Reach of Children
Swallowing can lead to chemical burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. Severe burns can occur within 2 hours of ingestion. Seek medical attention immediately.
Symptoms of Battery Ingestion: Symptoms may vary and include coughing, gagging, vomiting, stomach upset, pain, lethargy, loss of appetite, or inability to eat solid food. Vomiting fresh (bright red) blood is a specific symptom. Vigilance is crucial.
Troubleshooting

NOTE: Any electrical repairs must conform to local, state, and federal laws. Contact the service center if in doubt. Always disconnect the unit from the power source before opening.
Maintenance and Cleaning
CAUTION: Disconnect the cooker hood from the main power supply before maintenance or cleaning. Ensure it is switched off at the wall socket and unplugged.
External surfaces are susceptible to scratches; follow cleaning instructions carefully.
General: Clean and maintain the appliance when cold. Avoid leaving alkaline or acid substances (e.g., lemon juice, vinegar) on surfaces.
Stainless Steel: Clean regularly (e.g., weekly) with a clean, soft cloth. A specialized stainless steel cleaner may be used. Wipe along the grain to prevent scratches.
Control Panel Surface: Clean with warm, soapy water using a clean, well-wrung cloth. Use a dry, soft cloth to remove excess moisture. Use neutral detergents; avoid harsh chemicals, strong household detergents, or abrasive products, as they can damage the appearance and void the warranty.
Grease Mesh Filters: Immerse filters in 40-50°C water with detergent for 2-3 minutes, then brush gently. Filters can be washed in a dishwasher at approximately 60°C. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents on metal filters.
NOTE: Ensure power is turned off before cleaning.
Installing Grease Mesh Filters: Angle filter into slots at the back, push the button on the handle, release the handle when fitted, and repeat for all filters.
Carbon Filter (not supplied): Used to trap odors; change every 3-6 months. Installation: Match the hole to the buckle on the blower, turn until it clicks. Replacement: Turn counter-clockwise. NOTE: Ensure the filter is securely locked. Suction power is reduced with an activated carbon filter.
Bulb Replacement:
IMPORTANT: Bulb replacement must be done by the manufacturer, service agent, or qualified person. Always switch off power. Ensure bulb is cool before handling. Handle globes with a cloth or gloves.
NOTE: Ensure the appliance is unplugged before changing lights. Wear gloves for protection.
Changing the Lights: Open movable glass, remove aluminum filter. Unscrew lamp plate screws, unplug light wire. Disassemble light strip components. Reassembly is the reverse procedure. Lamp code: DSS-5/65-S-320/45.2. LED modules. Max wattage: 1x3.5W (60cm) / 2x3.5W (85cm). Voltage: DC12V.
Environmental Protection
This product is marked with the WEEE symbol (Directive 2012/19/EU), indicating it must not be disposed of with household waste. It must be collected separately for recycling or dismantling to minimize environmental impact. Electrical and electronic products can be hazardous due to substances they contain. Contact local authorities for more information.
To reduce environmental impact:
- Install the cooker hood in a location with efficient ventilation.
- Clean the cooker hood regularly to prevent airflow blockage.
- Remember to switch off the cooker hood light after cooking.
- Remember to switch off the cooker hood after cooking.
Information for Dismantling: Do not dismantle the appliance in ways not shown in the manual. The user cannot dismantle it. At end-of-life, do not dispose of with household waste. Consult your local authority for recycling advice.
Disposal of Used Equipment
This device is designed with high-quality reusable materials. The crossed-out waste container symbol (Fig. A) indicates it is subject to selective collection (Directive 2012/19/EU). The crossed-out wheelie bin symbol (Fig. B) indicates it contains batteries subject to separate collection (Directive 2006/66/EC).
Electrical and electronic equipment and batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. Return waste equipment and batteries to designated collection points. Correct disposal prevents harm to health and the environment. Households play a vital role in reuse, recovery, and recycling. Penalties may apply for improper disposal. Remove locks for safety. Be cautious with refrigerants (CFCs) in older appliances.
