Operating Instructions
Step 1: Drain Hose Connection
It is strongly recommended that a drain hose be connected to the bottom of the unit, as shaved ice may melt. A sketch shows a drain pipe connected to the unit's bottom outlet.
Step 2: Filling the Water Reservoir
Open the lid, take out the ice basket, and fill the water reservoir with water. Ensure the water level is not above the bottom of the ice collecting tray.
Steps to Hook Up to a Tap (Automatic Water Filling)
If you prefer to fill the water automatically, connect the water pipe to the socket at the back of the unit.
- Step 2.1: Insert the brackets at the back of the machine.
- Step 2.2: Remove the lids on both sides of the filter.
- Step 2.3: Install the filter connectors on both sides. These should be bound with raw tape to prevent leakage.
- Step 2.4: Stick the filter between the buckles. The end of the filter with an arrow should be placed towards the left.
- Step 2.5: Insert the water pipes to both sides of the filter, but do not connect them to the machine in advance.
- Step 2.6: Unscrew the water tap and screw the tap interface (metal part) first, then screw the water tap to the tap interface.
- Step 2.7: Connect the blue water tap with the tap interface to the right pipe of the filter. Turn on the tap for at least 10 seconds to drain water until it becomes clear. Turn off the tap. Then, connect the left pipe to the water inlet hole and turn on the tap again.
Step 2.8: Removing the Water Pipe
To remove the pipe connected to the water inlet hole, first take off the blue ring (if present), then press the white ring on the outer side and pull out the pipe simultaneously.
Step 3: Connect to the Power
Connect the power cord and plug to a suitable power outlet.
Step 4: Start the Ice Maker
Press the [ICE] button to turn the unit on. The ice maker will begin to work. Note: For the first three cycles, the ice may be small and irregular in size, or there may be no ice.
Step 5: Add Water Indicator
If the [Add Water] indicator ? lights up, take out the ice basket, add water as per Step 2, and then press the [ICE] button to restart the ice maker.
Step 6: Ice Full Indicator
If the [Ice Full] indicator ? lights up, take out the ice with the scoop. Note: When the ice basket is full, remove the ice immediately. Do not allow the ice collecting tray to overfill.
Step 7: Shave Ice
Press the [SHAVED ICE] button to shave ice. Note: Before pressing this button, ensure enough ice is in the shaved ice bowl and the bowl cover is properly secured.
Step 8: Stop the Machine
Press the [ICE] button to stop the machine.
Step 9: Draining Water
Place a tank below the unit, pull the unit slightly forward, and pull the drain plug located at the middle of the tank to drain water.
Step 10: Removing the Pipe
To remove the pipe, first take off the blue ring (if present), then press the white ring (lock) on the outer side, and finally pull out the pipe.
Caring
- Clean the inner liner, ice collecting tray, water box, ice shovel, and evaporator frequently. When cleaning, unplug the unit and remove the ice cubes. Use a diluted solution of water and vinegar to clean the inside and outside surfaces. Do not spray the ice maker with chemicals, diluted agents, acids, gasoline, or oil. Rinse thoroughly before starting.
- Keep ventilation openings in the appliance enclosure clear of obstruction. Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- To ensure the cleanliness of the ice cubes, replace the water in the water reservoir every 24 hours.
- If the compressor stops for any reason (e.g., water shortage, too much ice, power off), wait 3 minutes before restarting the ice maker.
- Always use fresh water before starting ice production, either at initial installation or after a long shut-off period.
- This unit is for home use only, not for outdoor use. If used outdoors, ensure the view window is closed.
Safety Notice
To avoid accidents, please refer to the following:
- Disconnect power before servicing.
- Do not pull directly on the wire when plugging or unplugging the unit.
- If ice production is abnormal, contact the seller.
- It is normal for the compressor and condenser surface to reach temperatures between 70°C and 90°C during operation; surrounding areas may be hot. Do not touch these parts.
- Due to fast freezing, ice cubes may appear "Cloudy." This is trapped air in the water and does not affect the quality or taste of the ice.
- When not in use, open the drawer at least 2cm to allow for air circulation and prevent metallic components from rusting.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent, or a similarly qualified person to avoid a hazard.
- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be performed by children without supervision.
- WARNING: Fill with bottled or good quality tap water only. Do not fill with fruit juices or other drink types.
- WARNING: Keep air vents on the sides of the machine unblocked at all times.
- WARNING: Do not use mechanical devices or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.
- WARNING: Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
- WARNING: Do not use electrical appliances inside the food storage compartments of the appliance, unless they are of the type recommended by the manufacturer.
Troubleshooting
- If a power failure occurs during an ice-making cycle, or the power button is turned off, small ice chips may form and lodge in the automatic shovel, causing it to jam. If this occurs, disconnect the power cord, gently push the shovel to the rear of the cabinet to remove the ice chips, and then restart the ice maker.
- To restart the ice maker, press Stop and then Start. If the ice shovel does not push ice into the ice collector after ice drops from the evaporator finger, and the [Ice Making] indicator ? is on, check if the water tray is horizontal or balanced. If not, adjust it by lightly pressing the ice shovel with your finger, then restart the ice maker.
