Nailer Safety Warnings
Always assume the tool contains fasteners. Handle with care to avoid accidental firing. Do not point the tool at yourself or others. Do not actuate unless the tool is firmly against the workpiece. Disconnect power when clearing jams. Use caution when removing jammed fasteners.
Do not use this nailer for fastening electrical cables. Hold by insulated gripping surfaces when near hidden wiring. Know your tool; read the manual. Always wear eye protection compliant with ANSI Z87.1.
Additional safety protection (hearing, head) may be required. Keep fingers away from the trigger when not driving fasteners. Use safety equipment. Protect your lungs with a mask if dusty. Protect your hearing during extended operation. Battery tools are always in operating condition; be aware of hazards. Do not place battery tools or batteries near fire or heat. Operation
Installing/Removing Battery Pack: Align the battery pack's raised rib with the tool's groove. Ensure latches snap into place. Squeeze LED worklight grip switch to reactivate. To remove, depress latches.
No-Mar Pad: Helps prevent marring soft woods. Remove battery pack before removing or replacing the pad. Pull pad down and away from the nose. Replace by fitting over nose and pushing up. An extra pad is stored on the magazine.
Loading the Tool with Nails: Remove battery pack. Depress the release button and slide the pusher fully rearward until it locks. With the tool pointed away, feed nails into the magazine, pointed downward. Press release button to advance the pusher. Do not let the pusher snap back.
Reinstall battery and reactivate by pressing the LED worklight grip switch.
WARNING: Use only recommended nails. Never load nails with the workpiece contact or trigger activated.
Setting Air Pressure: Depends on nail size and workpiece material. Test drive a nail. Remove battery. Adjust air pressure lever. Fine-tune with depth adjustment if needed. Note: Maximum pressure may not always deliver a nail.
Depth of Drive Adjustment: Adjust beyond air pressure. Test on scrap material. Remove battery. Turn adjustment knob. Reinstall battery and reactivate. Drive test nails after each adjustment.
Driving Finish Nails: Use single sequential actuation for accurate placement. Reinstall battery and reactivate. Grip firmly. Position nose on workpiece. Push tool against workpiece to depress contact. Squeeze trigger. Hold trigger until cycle completes. If no nail is driven, lift tool, reposition, and try again.
WARNING: Never wedge or hold back the workpiece contact mechanism.
Dry-Fire Lockout: Activates when 0-5 nails remain. Reload to resume.
LED Worklight: Press grip switch while holding tool during operation. The light indicates battery charge and tool function.
Diagnostic Feedback: Flashing light indicates low battery or malfunction. If light goes out, the unit has timed out; lift tool and release trigger to reactivate.
Clearing a Jammed Fastener
WARNING: Remove battery pack before clearing jams.
Jams can occur due to deep driving, debris, or stuck nails. Try depressing the workpiece contact and squeezing the trigger to reset the driver mechanism. If it doesn't reset, the tool may be jammed. Remove battery pack, point tool away, remove fasteners, open jam release, insert screwdriver to push driver mechanism back, remove bent nail, close release, reinstall battery and fasteners.
