SANHUA PEV Expansion Valve Spare Parts and Instructions
PEV Spare Parts
This document provides information on spare parts and installation instructions for SANHUA PEV expansion valves.
For PEV Models: PEV 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / 3.5 / 4 / 5 / 6 / 7 / 8
Valve Components Overview
The PEV valve system includes the following key components:
- Power Head (11.3): The main operational head of the valve.
- Super Power Head (15): An alternative, larger head for specific applications.
- O-ring (green): Sealing component, often used with the super power head.
- O-ring (black): Sealing component, typically used with the standard power head.
- Gasket: A general sealing component.
- Strainer: A filter component to prevent debris ingress.
- Orifice: Controls fluid flow rate.
- Coil: HQ: Electromagnetic coil for the standard power head.
- Coil: MQ: Electromagnetic coil for the super power head.
Coil Compatibility: HQ series coils are matched with the power head, while MQ series coils are matched with the super power head.

Installation Instructions
Follow these steps for the proper installation and replacement of PEV valve components:
- Step 1: Remove Power Head
Turn the power head counterclockwise to remove it. - Step 2: Remove Seals
Remove the O-ring and gasket from the valve assembly. - Step 3: Strainer Removal
Insert the specialized tool in an axial direction, fasten the strainer, and then remove it. - Step 4: Orifice Removal
To remove the orifice, use the tool. Ensure the tool's square mouth fits the milling edge on the orifice side. Turn the tool counterclockwise to detach the orifice. - Step 5: Orifice Replacement
To replace the orifice, fit the tool's square mouth to the orifice's milling edge. Turn the tool clockwise to tighten the orifice. Apply a torque of 3.0-3.5 N.m. Ensure the force is applied uniformly and avoid excessive tightening. - Step 6: Install Strainer
Install the strainer with its small side facing downwards. Ensure correct orientation to avoid installation errors. - Step 7: Prepare Power Head Installation
Before installing the power head (or super power head), insert the gasket into the bottom of the power head's external thread. Then, insert the O-ring into the designated groove. - Step 8: Install Power Head
Install the power head (or super power head) into the valve body. Tighten it using a torque wrench to 45±3 N.m. Ensure the force is uniform throughout the tightening process and do not overtighten.
