Q: Will this work if somebody with a key unlocks the door lock?

A: Yes, because the claw of the lock goes into where the door closes. The red wedge will still hold the door closed. So even if someone has a key, they cannot open the door.

Q: Are there any requirements for the direction of the red device when installing this portable door lock?

A: Yes. Please note that you should install the red wedge on the same side as the door handle, and it should be pressed down to the bottom.
