ATTENTION Please read all Information below before Installation Warning: Disconnect negative battery cable from battery; refer to owner's manual. Failure to do so may result in electrical shock, injury, or fire. Secure negative battery cable away from positive side of battery and all other positive voltage sources on vehicle. Safety First: Always wear appropriate safety gear including safety glasses when performing any electrical work. It is highly recommended that safety glasses be worn throughout this installation process. Be sure vehicle is on level surface, secure and cool. Note: Complies with SAE and DOT standards for high and low beam motorcycle headlight. Cleaning: Take special care in cleaning the finish. Never use abrasive polishes or cleaners as these can scratch the finish. Installation: 1. Disconnect the vehicle negative battery cable. 2. Review factory service manual for instructions on replacing factory headlight and mounting bucket. 3. Remove the factory headlight trim ring and headlight with the mounting bucket as an assembly from the fairing or nacelle depending on the model. Retain the screws that secure the mounting bucket for installation of the new Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight. 4. Color Changing Back Light: Install the included Fused Switch Harness. Route the Fused Switch Harness from the battery location so that the wire with the spade terminal is located in the headlight bucket. Note: Models with enclosed headlight buckets may require a small hole to be drilled in the bucket to allow the accent light switch wire spade terminal to be routed into the bucket. 5. Mount the ON/OFF switch of the included Fused Switch Harness in a convenient location. 6. Use cable ties to secure the Fused Switch Harness to prevent damage to the wiring. 7. Connect the ring terminal on the red fused wire of the Fused Switch Harness to the Positive Battery terminal. 8. Locate the red wire on the back of the Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight and connect to the spade terminal of the included Fused Switch Harness. 9. Connect the Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight to the existing factory H4 plug. Questions? Install Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight with mounting ring as an assembly to the fairing or nacelle. Use the existing mounting bucket screws that were removed in Step 3. Note: For Road King models, use the included 6-32 Stainless Steel Flat Washers on the 7 mounting bucket screws to secure the headlight to the nacelle. QR Code 11. Make sure no wire or any components of the harness can be pinched during installation and that they will not be exposed. Reinstall the headlight trim ring. 12. Reconnect the motorcycle negative battery cable. 13. Test function of headlight for high beam and low beam function: - Stock function = When low beam is ON, high beam is OFF, when high beam is ON, low beam is ON. - Color Changing Back Light: Only operates if power is applied to the red wire. Function is optional. 14. Aim Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight. Scan QR Code for specific instructions on proper measurements for aiming. Important: Due to the increased light output from this unit, it is recommended to have the headlamp properly adjusted. Weight and tire pressure can affect the position of the light. Magnet instructions for Color Changing Back Light: 1 1. Click the switch to the "On" position that is attached to the included Fused Switch harness. The accent light color will illuminate. Note: The low beam/high beam does not need power on for this step. 2. Place the included magnet against the right side of the Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight lens in the area shown in Figure 1 and 2. 3. The color will change every time you place the included magnet in this location. Tech Tip: Flip the included magnet over in between each time it is placed against the Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight lens. This helps the Shark Demon® 2 LED Headlight recognize the included magnet easier. 2 Questions?
