Protect Your Hearing
[hearing protection symbol] To prevent possible hearing damage, do not listen at high volume levels for long periods. Exercise caution when holding your device near your ear while the loudspeaker is in use.
Precautions for Use
Read this chapter carefully before using your device. The manufacturer is not responsible for consequences resulting from improper use or use contrary to the instructions in this user guide.
Vehicle Safety
Recent studies show that using a mobile phone while driving constitutes a real risk, even with hands-free accessories. Drivers are prohibited from using their phone until the vehicle is stopped. Check local laws and regulations regarding mobile device use while driving.
Conditions of Use
- It is recommended to switch off the device periodically to optimize its performance.
- Remember to comply with local authority rules for mobile device use on aircraft.
- If your device is a unibody model with a non-removable cover and battery, disassembling it will void your warranty. Disassembling the device can cause bodily injury if the battery is punctured.
- Always handle your device with care and keep it in a clean, dust-free place.
- Do not expose your device to adverse weather or environmental conditions (e.g., moisture, condensation, rain, liquid ingress, dust, sea air). The manufacturer's recommended operating temperature range is 0°C (32°F) to +40°C (104°F). Temperatures above 40°C (104°F) may temporarily impair screen legibility, but this is not serious.
- Do not attempt to open, dismantle, or repair the device yourself.
- Do not drop, throw, or bend your device.
- Use only batteries, chargers, and accessories recommended by TCL Communication Ltd. and its affiliates that are compatible with your device model. TCL Communication Ltd. and its affiliates disclaim all liability for damage caused by the use of other chargers or batteries.
- The device should not be disposed of in municipal waste. Check local regulations for electronic product disposal.
- Remember to make security backups or keep a written record of all important information stored on your device.
- Some individuals may be prone to epileptic seizures or blackouts caused by flashing lights, such as those in video games. These can occur even if the person has never had them before. If you have experienced such episodes, or if your family has a history of them, consult a doctor before playing video games or activating flashing lights on your device.
- Parents should supervise their children's use of video games or other features with flashing lights. All persons should discontinue use and consult a doctor if any of the following symptoms occur: convulsions, eye or muscle twitching, loss of awareness, orientation, or movement.
Respect for Privacy
Please respect the laws and regulations in your country regarding taking photographs and recording sounds with your device. It may be strictly prohibited to take photos or record voices of others, or to reproduce or distribute them, as this may be considered an invasion of privacy. It is the user's sole responsibility to ensure prior authorization is obtained if necessary. The manufacturer, distributor, or seller disclaims liability for consequences resulting from improper use.
Battery and Accessories
Your device's battery is not fully charged due to new regulations. Please charge it before use.
The back cover of your device may be removable, but the battery is not. Observe the following precautions:
- Do not attempt to open the battery (risk of toxic fumes and burns).
- Do not puncture, disassemble, or cause a short circuit in the battery.
- Do not burn or dispose of the battery in household waste, or expose it to temperatures above 60°C (140°F).
The device and battery must be disposed of in accordance with applicable environmental legislation.
[recycling symbol] This symbol on your mobile device, battery, and accessories indicates they must be taken to a collection point at the end of their life:
- Municipal waste disposal centers with specific bins.
- Collection bins at points of sale.
Products will be recycled to prevent harmful substances from entering the environment, and their components will be reused.
In some countries, access to collection points is free. If your country or region has recycling facilities, these products should not be thrown in normal bins but taken to collection points for recycling.
CAUTION: RISK OF EXPLOSION IF BATTERY IS REPLACED BY AN INCORRECT TYPE. DISPOSE OF USED BATTERIES ACCORDING TO THE INSTRUCTIONS.
WARNING: This product contains chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm.

Electromagnetic Waves (RF Exposure)
THIS MOBILE DEVICE COMPLIES WITH GOVERNMENT REQUIREMENTS FOR EXPOSURE TO RADIO WAVES.
Your mobile device is a radio transmitter and receiver designed to respect radio-frequency (RF) exposure limits. These limits are part of comprehensive guidelines establishing authorized RF levels for the public, based on scientific evaluations with a safety margin. The exposure standard is defined by the Specific Absorption Rate (SAR). The SAR limit recommended by authorities like the FCC and Industry Canada is 1.6 W/kg averaged over 1 gram of human tissue. Tests are conducted at the highest certified power level across all frequency bands.
While SAR is evaluated at the highest power level, the actual SAR level during use is generally lower, as the device uses only the necessary power to connect to the network. The closer you are to a base station, the lower the power output. The SAR validation for model 9080G is 1.18 W/Kg when used close to the body.
For body-worn operation, the tablet meets FCC RF exposure guidelines when used with a non-metallic accessory and at least 12 mm from the body. Other accessories may not ensure compliance.
The World Health Organization (WHO) considers that current scientific information does not indicate the need for special precautions for mobile device use. Individuals concerned may limit exposure by reducing call duration or using hands-free options. For more WHO information on electromagnetic fields and public health, visit: http://www.who.int/peh-emf.
Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device pursuant to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses, and can emit RF energy, and if not installed and used per instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. If interference occurs, users are encouraged to try correcting it by reorienting the antenna, increasing separation, connecting to a different circuit, or consulting a qualified technician. Changes or modifications not expressly approved may void the user's authority to operate the equipment.
For receiver devices associated with licensed radio service: This tablet complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, provided it does not cause harmful interference.
For other devices: This tablet complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, subject to two conditions: (1) it may not cause harmful interference, and (2) it must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.
Your tablet has a built-in antenna. For optimal operation, avoid touching or degrading it. When using headphones or a USB data cable, follow corresponding instructions. If using other accessories, ensure they are non-metallic and position the tablet at least 12 mm from the body.
