Wearing the Headset

Refer to the User's Guide for more information about installation.

Button Locations:

• Left Side: (+) Button, Center Button, (-) Button
• Right Side: Mesh Intercom Button

Basic Operations

• Powering On: Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second. Audible prompt: "Hello".
• Powering Off: Press and hold the Center Button for 1 second. Audible prompt: "Goodbye".
• Volume Up: Tap the (+) Button.
• Volume Down: Tap the (-) Button.

Checking the Battery Level

When powering on, the battery level is indicated by the LED and audible prompts.

Phone Pairing

1. The headset enters Phone Pairing mode automatically when initially turned on. If not, press and hold the Center Button for 5 seconds. Audible prompt: "Phone pairing".
2. Select "Expand Mesh" in the list of detected Bluetooth devices on your phone.

Using the Phone

• Answer a Call: Tap the Center Button once.
• End a Call: Tap the Center Button twice.
• Reject a call: Press and hold the Center Button for 2 seconds.
• Voice Dial: Tap the Center Button once while in standby mode.

Music Control

• Play/Pause: Tap the Center Button once.
• Track forward: Press and hold the (+) Button for 1 second.
• Track backward: Press and hold the (-) Button for 1 second.

Mesh Intercom™

Mesh Intercom allows communication within the same channel (Open Mesh) or the same private group (Group Mesh).

• Mesh Intercom On: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button once. Audible prompt: "Mesh intercom on, Open Mesh, channel 1".
• Mesh Intercom Off: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button once. Audible prompt: "Mesh intercom off".

Note: When Mesh Intercom is on, the Expand Mesh automatically connects to nearby Expand Mesh users and defaults to Open Mesh on channel 1.

Open Mesh

Channel Setting (Default: channel 1)

• Using the Button:
  • Enter channel setting: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button. Audible prompt: "Channel setting, 1".
  • Navigate between channels: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button. (1→2→...→8→9→Exit→1→...)
  • Save the channel: Tap the Mesh Intercom Button. Audible prompt: "Channel is set, channel #".
• Using the Sena Outdoor App: You can select the channel through the Sena Outdoor App.

Group Mesh

Group Mesh is a closed group intercom function allowing users to join, leave, or rejoin a group conversation without individual headset pairing.

1) Creating a Group Mesh

Requires two or more Open Mesh users. Users enter Mesh Grouping (press and hold Mesh Intercom Button for 5 seconds). Audible prompt: "Mesh grouping". Upon completion, users hear "Group Mesh".

2) Joining an Existing Group Mesh

One user in an Existing Group Mesh allows new users in Open Mesh to join. The existing user and new users enter Mesh Grouping (press and hold Mesh Intercom Button for 5 seconds). Audible prompt: "Mesh grouping". Upon completion, new users hear "Group Mesh".

Enable/Disable Mic (Default: Enable)

Users can enable or disable the microphone during Mesh Intercom communication. Tap the Mesh Intercom Button. Audible prompt: "Mic on" or "Mic off".

Reset Mesh

If a headset resets the Mesh in Open Mesh or Group Mesh, it will automatically return to Open Mesh (default: channel 1). Press and hold the Mesh Intercom Button for 8 seconds. Audible prompt: "Reset Mesh".

Configuration Menu

• Accessing the Configuration Menu: Press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds. Audible prompt: "Configuration menu".
• Navigating Between Menu Options: Tap the Center Button.
• Execute Menu Options: Tap the Center Button.

Troubleshooting

• Factory Reset: Access the Configuration Menu, then tap the Center Button. Audible prompt: "Factory reset". Audible prompt: "Headset reset, good-bye".
• Fault Reset: Press and hold the Center Button for 10 seconds. Audible prompt: "Headset reset, good-bye". Note: Fault Reset does not restore factory default settings.
