We highly recommend that any assembly is carried out on a flat, level surface if possible and that you use another person to assist you if necessary. Package contents 2 x End panels 2 x Back panels 2 x Centre posts 1 x Base 1 x Lattice 1 x Roof 38 x Shorter green screws 12 x Longer green screws (For the base only) 2 x Spacer blocks 1 x Door 1x Partition panel 12 x 38mm black screws Tools required Electric screwdriver with No2 Pozidrive bit Or No2 Pozidrive Screwdriver Normanton/Hambleton/Cottesmore 6ft tool store 1 Step 1 Normanton/ Hambleton /Cottesmore 6ft tool store Step 2 Ensure that you have all of the correct parts as listed on the front page of these instructions, including any fixings. Stand the left hand end panel (or right hand for the reversed roof version) upright on a flat, level surface. Step 3 Step 4 Arrange the 2 spacer blocks on the ground, adjacent to the end panel as shown in the photo above. Now place a back panel on the blocks, at 90° to the end panel, aligning the 2 panels ready for fixing. Using the shorter green screws provided, attach the batten on the back panel to the post of the end panel, ensuring that the batten remains vertically aligned to the post. Company No: 11025348 VAT No: 282569762 2 Step 5 Normanton/ Hambleton /Cottesmore 6ft tool store Step 6 Align one of the longer posts (shorter for a reversed roof) with the other end of the back panel. Attach the panel to the post by screwing through the batten using shorter green screws as before. Step 7 Step 8 Rearrange the spacer blocks and offer up the next panel, aligning and attaching it as before. Remove the blocks from beneath the 2nd panel and then slide the base into position as shown, ensuring that the centre post and the central cross member of the base are aligned centrally. Company No: 11025348 VAT No: 282569762 3 Step 9 Normanton/ Hambleton /Cottesmore 6ft tool store Step 10 Attach the base to the end panel front post first, using 2 of the 75mm screws and then secure the rear post in the same way. Using more of the 75mm screws now attach the base to the rear posts as shown. Step 11 Step 12 Slide the remaining end panel into place as shown above and attach it to the frame as you did with the first end panel with longer green screws into the front and rear posts. If you are fitting a kindling shelf, omit steps 12 -14 and attach the front posts before fitting the kindling shelf & lattice and then attaching the roof. Now attach the roof to each end panel post with short green screws. Secure the rear of the roof using shorter green screws as shown. Step 15 Step 16 Locate the pencil guide marks on the front face of the base. This is where the centre posts will be fitted. Check the positioning of the post within the guide marks once again before securing the bottom of the centre post with 2 of the longer green screws Rutland County Garden Furniture Ltd, Ashbourne House, 2 Dovecote Meadows, Aslackby, Sleaford, Lincs, NG34 0HZ. Company No: 11025348 VAT No: 282569762 5 Step 17 Normanton/ Hambleton /Cottesmore 6ft tool store Step 18 With the centre post now attached to the base, locate the top of the post between the central roof battens, flush with the batten ends, and secure in place with 2 of the 65mm screws. Establish which side your door is to be fitted on and fit the lattice into place by holding it with the slats in a vertical position, sliding it into the store until you have enough clearance to move it to the horizontal position and then lower it into the base as shown. Step 19 Step 20 Place a spacer block at the front of the store adjacent to the front end post and rest the hinge side of the appropriate door on the block, aligning it vertically and horizontally for a good fit. Now use four of the supplied black hinge screws to affix the hinge to the post. Align the top hinge in place, ensuring that the gap between the door and post is consistent at top and bottom. Company No: 11025348 VAT No: 282569762 6 Step 21 Normanton/ Hambleton /Cottesmore 6ft tool store Step 22 Secure the top hinge in place using more of the black hinge screws. Repeat steps 19 - 21 for any further doors as required. Next affix the partition panel to the centre posts of the store.... Step 23 Step 24 ...by standing it in position and using the 65mm screws, fix it to the rear post. The dividing panel needs to be a tight fit but if too snug then release the front centre post at the roof point... ...then pull the post forward slightly to allow room to slot the panel into place, now reposition the post and fix again at the roof. The hasp is already screwed onto the front of the door. Close the door and hold the hasp horizontal, then position the staple and fix into place. Step 23 Step 24 Your Normanton/Hambleton/Cottesmore log and tool store is now complete.
