3. HANDLING THE REMOTE CONTROLLER
3.1. Inserting and Replacing Batteries Your air conditioning unit may come with two batteries(some units). Put the batteries in the remote control before use.
1. Slide the back cover from the remote control downward, exposing the battery compartment.
2. Insert the batteries, paying attention to match up the (+) and (-) ends of the batteries with the symbols inside the battery compartment.
3. Slide the battery cover back into place.

3.2. TIPS for Using remote control · The remote control must be used within 8 meters of the unit. · The unit will beep when remote signal is received. · Curtains, other materials and direct sunlight can interfere with the infrared signal receiver. · Remove batteries if the remote will not be used more than 2 months.

3.3. Notes for using remote control The device could comply with the local national regulations. This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. If this equipment does cause harmful interference to radio or television reception, which can be determined by turning the equipment off and on, the user is encouraged to try to correct the interference by one or more of the following measures:
· Reorient or relocate the receiving antenna. · Increase the separation between the equipment and receiver. · Connect the equipment into an outlet on a circuit different from that to which the receiver is connected. · Consult the dealer or an experienced radio/TV technician for help. · Changes or modifications not approved by the party responsible for compliance could void user's authority

4. BUTTONS AND FUNCTIONS
Before you begin using your new air conditioner, make sure to familiarize yourself with its remote control. The following is a brief introduction to the remote control itself. For instructions on how to operate your air conditioner, refer to the How to Use Basic Functions section of this manual.

1. ON/OFF Button to turn on and turn off the air conditioner.

2. TEMP Increases temperate in 1°C (1°F) increments. Max. temperature is 30°C (86°F).
Note: Press together & buttons at the same time for 3 seconds will alternate the temperature display between the °C & °F.

3. SET

Scrolls through operation functions as follows:

The selected symbol will flash on the display area, press OK

button to confirm.

Decreases temperature in 1°C (1°F) increments. Min. temperature

is 16°C (60°F).

11 5. FAN SPEED

Selects fan speeds in the following order:

AUTO LOW MED HIGH

Note: Holding this button down for 2 seconds will activate Silence

feature.

6. SWING Starts and stops the horizontal louver movement. Hold down for 2 seconds to initiate vertical louver auto swing feature.

7. MODE Scrolls through operation modes as follows: AUTO DRY HEAT FAN

COOL

Note: HEAT mode is not supported by the cooling only appliance.

8. SLEEP Saves energy during sleeping hours.

9. OK Used to confirm the selected functions.

10. TIMER Set timer to turn unit ON or OFF

11. FRESH Used to start/stop the Fresh feature.

12. CLEAN Used to start/stop the Self Clean function.
13. LED Turns indoor unit's LED display and air conditioner buzzer on and off (model dependent), which create a comfortable and quiet environment.
14. Turbo Enables unit to reach present temperature in shortest possible time.

6. HOW TO USE BASIC FUNCTIONS
Information are displayed when the remote controller is power up.
ATTENTION
Before operation, please ensure the unit is plugged in and power is available.
SETTING TEMPERATURE
The operating temperature range for units is 17-30°C (62-86°F)/20-28 C. You can increase or decrease the set temperature in 1°C (1°F) increments.

6.1. AUTO mode Click MODE button and Select AUTO mode

As outdoor temperature drops, the performance of your unit's HEAT function may be affected. In such instances, we recommend using this air conditioner in conjunction with other heating appliances.

6.4. DRY Mode (some models) Select DRY mode

6.6. Setting the TIMER TIMER ON/OFF - Set the amount of time after which the unit will automatically turn on/off.

6.6.1. TIMER ON setting
Press TIMER button to initiate the ON time sequence.

Press Temp. up or down button for for multiple times to set the desired time to turn on the unit.

Point remote to unit and wait 1sec, the TIMER ON will be activated.

NOTE:
1. When setting the TIMER ON or TIMER OFF, the time will increase by 30 minutes increments with each press, up to 10 hours. After 10 hours and up to 24, it will increase in 1 hour increments. (For example, press 5 times to get 2.5h, and press 10 times to get 5h,) The timer will revert to 0.0 after 24.
2. Cancel either function by setting its timer to 0.0h.

6.6.3. TIMER ON & OFF setting (example) Keep in mind that the time periods you set for both functions refer to hours after the current time.

7. HOW TO USE ADVANCED FUNCTIONS
7.1. SWING function Press Swing button

The horizontal louver will swing up and down automatically when pressing Swing button. Press again to make it stop.
7.2. LED display (some models) Press LED button

Keep pressing this button more than 2 seconds, the vertical louver swing function is activated. Hold down the button to deactivate (Model dependent)
Press this button more than 5 seconds (some units) 5s

Press this button to turn on and turn off the display on the indoor unit.

Keep pressing this button more than 5 seconds, the indoor unit will display the actual room temperature. Press more than 5 seconds again will revert back to display the setting temperature.

7.3. SLEEP function

A special operating program of unit in which temperature and fan speed are automatically modified to ensure optimal conditions for a good night's rest. This function can be activated by remote control.
To enable press the "Sleep" button located in the first row on the right side of the remote.
To disable press the "Sleep" button again
NOTE: Sleep function is not available in FAN and DRY modes.

7.4. Silence function (some units)
2s Keep pressing Fan button for more than 2 seconds to activate/disable Silence function (some units). Due to low frequency operation of compressor, it may result in insufficient cooling and heating capacity. Press ON/OFF, Mode, Sleep, Turbo or Clean button while operating will cancel silence function.

7.5. ECO function (some units)

Press ECO button to enter the energy efficient mode. NOTE: This function is only available under COOL mode.

Under cooling mode, press this button, the remote controller will adjust the temperature automatically to 24° C/75°F, fan speed of Auto to save energy (only when the set temperature is less than 24°C/75°F). If the set temperature is above 24°C/75°F, press the ECO button, the fan speed will change to Auto, the set temperature will remain unchanged.
NOTE: Pressing the ECO button, or modifying the mode or adjusting the set temperature to less than 24°C/75°F will stop ECO operation. Under ECO operation, the set tmeperature should be 24°C/75°F or above, it may result in insufficient cooling. If you feel uncomfortable, just press the ECO button again to stop it.

7.6. FP function (some units)

SMART heating 8/12°C (selected models). The function constantly monitors

the temperature inside the room to prevent excessive cooling air conditioner

will start automatically in heating mode. Thanks to this air temperature is

maintained at 8/12 ° C (depending on the model).

To enable "FP8" mode follow instructions below (only available on selected models):

· Start the air conditioner in heating mode (HEAT) and set it to the lowest possible temperature (usually it will be 16°C)

· Press the down arrow twice and the air conditioner display shows "8", it means FP function is started correctly.

To enable "FP12" mode, follow the instructions below (only available on selected models):

· Follow the instructions to start the FP8 mode

· When we have already activated the FP8 mode press down arrow twice, and the display will show "12" it means that this function has been successfully activated.

Selected models have the ability to run the FP8 function using the mobile application (press the sun pictogram described as FP).

Note: Pressing the ON/OFF, Sleep, Mode, Fan, Up and Down buttons, or using a function on the mobile app while in FP mode will cancel it.

7.7. LOCK function

Press together Clean button and Turbo button at the same time more than 5 seconds to activate Lock function. All buttons will not response except pressing these two buttons for two seconds again to disable locking.

· Press the SET button to enter the function setting, then press SET button or TEMP or TEMP button to select the desired function. The selected symbol will flash on the display area, press the OK button to confirm.
· To cancel the selected function, just perform the same procedures as above. · Press the SET button to scroll through operation functions as follows:

Follow me function ( ): The "Follow Me" function allows you to read the temperature in the room via the remote control. The remote control sends information about temperature to air conditioner every few minutes (depending on the model). The function is available in following modes: automatic (AUTO), cooling (COOL) or heating (HEAT) Ambient temperature measurement with remote control in "Follow Me" function allows you to precisely manage temperature in room to ensure maximum comfort.
ATTENTION: Remember that the remote control transmits the temperature reading using an IR sensor (irda), so it must be pointed towards the indoor unit! The air conditioner will turn off the Follow me function if it does not receive a temperature reading for about 7 minutes.
To enable Follow Me mode follow the instructions below:
Variant I
To turn on, press and hold the "TURBO" button for about 7 seconds until "ON" is shown on the remote control screen
To turn off, press and hold the "TURBO" button for about 7 seconds until "OFF" is shown on the remote control screen
Variant II
To enable, press the "SET" button to enter the available functions, then press the "SET" button every 1 second select "Follow Me" icon and press OK to confirm the function activation.
To disable, press the "SET" button to enter the available functions, then press the "SET" button every 1 second select "Follow Me" icon and press OK to confirm function disable.
If "Follow me" function is turned on temperature read by sensor in remote control is displayed on remote controller's screen and the set temperature is displayed on unit.
If you wanna have temperature from remote control on on display of air conditioner hold the "LED" button for about 3 seconds. Follow the same steps if you want to return to displaying the set temperature.

AP function ( ): To configure wireless network you need to enter AP mode by pressing the SET button on the remote control select the Wi-Fi icon and press "OK" to confirm. Some models do not have AP mode under the SET button, then you need to press the LED button seven times within 10 seconds to enter AP mode.

7.9. Automatic cleaning iAIR (Self Clean) (some units)

The Self Clean function enables drying the heat exchanger of the indoor unit of the air conditioner. To activate this function, turn on the air conditioner in cooling (COOL) or drying (DRY) mode, then press the "CLEAN" button. After activating the function, the display screen will show the abbreviation "SC".

NOTE: You can only activate this function in COOL or DRY mode.

7.10. Turbo Function (some units) Press TURBO button

Turbo

When you select Turbo feature in COOL mode, the unit will blow cool air with strongest wind setting to jump-start the cooling process. When you select Turbo feature in HEAT mode, for units with Electric heat elements, the Electric HEATER will activate and jump-start the heating process.

7.11. Fresh Function (some units) Press FRESH button
