BSV EYP-004 (DomoPools) User Manual
Brand: BSV
Product Type: Pool Automation System
1- GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The DomoPools system integrates a domotic control to set chemical parameters of a swimming pool. It offers remote visualization and control of these parameters.
The system requires WiFi or Ethernet cable for remote control and uses radiofrequency communication to connect with the TOUCHEVO chlorinator. An indoor installation for DomoPools is recommended to ensure a good radio link.
1.1- General Considerations
The DomoPools system is designed to provide remote control over your swimming pool's chemical parameters. It connects to the internet via WiFi or Ethernet and communicates wirelessly with the TOUCHEVO salt chlorinator.
For optimal performance, it is recommended to install the DomoPools device indoors, within a reasonable distance of the TOUCHEVO unit, considering potential obstacles like walls.
1.1.2- Main Features
- Check chlorinator status
- Monitoring probe readings
- Chlorinator set point control
- Configuration and programming of relays
- History log of probe readings
1.2- Installation
This section details the step-by-step installation process for the DomoPools system to ensure correct connection and control of your TOUCHEVO chlorinator and pool.
1.2.2 Domopools Parts Identification
The DomoPools unit features the following connections and indicators:
- 1 Radio Antenna
- 2 Status LEDs:
- Power LED (Red): Lights up when the micro-USB power cable is connected.
- Operation Mode LED (Green): Off in Local mode (configuration). Lights up in Remote mode and blinks until the internet signal is stable, then remains lit.
- 3 Push Button (Mode Change/Reset): Press for 10 seconds to switch between Remote and Local modes.
- 4 Radio Communication LEDs:
- Transmitter LED (Red): Blinks when DomoPools sends data to TOUCHEVO.
- Receiver LED (Green): Blinks when TOUCHEVO communicates with DomoPools.
- 5 Serial Number: Used for user registration on www.eypools.com and for technical support.
- 6 Synchronization LED
- 7 Power Cable Socket: Micro-USB.
- 8 Ethernet Socket: For internet connection.
1.2.3 Operation Mode
The DomoPools device operates in two modes:
- Local Mode: Creates a WiFi network named "Domopools" with the password "-domopools-". This mode is used for configuring the home WiFi and requires proximity to the device. Timed relays are disabled in this mode.
- Remote Mode: Connects the device to the internet, allowing access from anywhere. Timed relays are enabled in this mode.
1.2.4 Registration
To register your device:
- Access www.eypools.com.
- Select "Acceso" and then "Registro" (Sign in).
- Complete the required fields: Username, Email address, Password, and Serial Number.
1.2.5 Local Mode Setup
- Connect the DomoPools device using the supplied micro-USB power cable.
- After a minute, the "Domopools" WiFi network will appear. Connect to it using the password "-domopools-". Disable mobile data on your smartphone to avoid interference.
- Connection via Tablet or Smartphone: Download the Eypools App. Once connected to the "Domopools" WiFi, open the app and select "Local".
- Connection via Laptop: Open a web browser and enter the IP address: 192.168.42.1:80. Follow the on-screen instructions.
After establishing the connection, the main screen will display the pool's status. Verify radio communication by checking the TOUCHEVO's WiFi icon (green indicates a good connection) and testing relays.
If changing the radio channel is necessary, ensure both devices are properly connected. Change the channel in DomoPools first, then in TOUCHEVO. Both devices must use the same channel.
For internet connection, you can use an Ethernet cable or configure the home WiFi. For WiFi setup, enter your home WiFi's SSID and password and press "Set". The device will reboot to connect to the internet.
1.2.6 Remote Mode Setup
In Remote mode, you can access TOUCHEVO parameters. Ensure both devices are on the same radio channel.
- Tablet and Smartphone: Open the Eypools App and select "Remote".
- Laptop: Go to www.eypools.com, select "Acceso" and "Acceder", then log in with your registration details.
1.2.7 Domopools Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues accessing DomoPools via the internet:
- Ensure sufficient home WiFi signal strength at the DomoPools location.
- Verify that the WiFi SSID and password are correct, paying attention to case sensitivity.
- If problems persist, press and hold the DomoPools push button for 10 seconds to reboot the device into Local mode. Reconnect to the "Domopools" WiFi and reconfigure your connection following section 5.2.5.
