Overview

This 4K wireless HDMI extender system supports 4K 60Hz resolutions with super smooth playback and low latency. It allows users to watch TV in different rooms without messy cables by wirelessly sending the HD video signal from an HDMI source (e.g., a set-top box) to a second TV or projector in another room, enabling remote operation. Receiver Overview

The receiver unit features several connection ports and indicators:

Operation & Pairing

A standard wireless HDMI extender kit includes one transmitter and one receiver, which are typically paired before shipment. If you purchase additional receivers, follow the pairing instructions below:

Pairing Procedure

  1. Power on the transmitter.
  2. Power on the receiver until it displays the main menu.
  3. Press and hold the receiver's reset button for 5 seconds until the LED flashes rapidly.
  4. Wait approximately 30 seconds for the transmitter and receiver to pair automatically.

Connecting the Transmitter

Place the transmitter near your HDMI source (e.g., set-top box, Blu-ray player, Media Center PC/laptop) to send the HD video signal wirelessly to the receiver in another room.

Streaming Modes

The system supports both one-to-one (One TX to one RX) and one-to-many (One TX to multiple RX) streaming modes. The transmitter can support up to 4 receivers simultaneously. When a new receiver is powered on, the transmitter typically recognizes and streams video to it automatically. If automatic pairing fails, follow the "Operation & Pairing" procedure.

Connecting Infra-Red Return

The system features an "infrared return" function, enabling remote operation of the HDMI source from another room. Connect the IR cable to the transmitter's "IR" port. Attach the IR LED precisely over the HDMI source's infrared sensor. The correct position can be identified by shining a light on the front panel to locate the IR sensor window. Experiment with placement before final attachment, as the adhesive strip may cause discoloration or leave residue.

Testing the IR return function

Aim your remote control towards the IR receiver on the front of the receiver unit and send a command. The command is transferred from the receiver to the transmitter, which then forwards it to the HDMI source. The HDMI source should execute the command.

Connecting the USB Extension

The system includes a USB extension function, allowing operation of connected HDMI sources (like a Media Center PC or laptop) from another room using a mouse and/or keyboard.

Testing the USB extension

Use the connected mouse/keyboard. The receiver sends the function to the transmitter, which forwards it to the PC/laptop, executing the command.

Troubleshooting

Q1. No (or poor) image and sound on TV or projector

To test, move the transmitter and receiver closer together. Ensure:

Q2. No or bad connection between the HD transmitter and HD receiver

Q3. I do have picture, but no (or bad) sound

The Wireless HD supports up to 2CH PCM stereo. Check the audio settings on the connected HDMI source and manually set it to 2CH PCM stereo if automatic settings fail.

Q4. The IR blaster doesn't work
