BITMAIN AntMiner S5+ Manual
1 Overview
The AntMiner S5+ features a hash rate of 7.722Th/s, utilizing Bitmain's state-of-the-art BM1384 chip powered by ultra-low power 28nm technology. The S5+ units are tested and configured prior to shipping to simplify setup for customers. This model consists of three hashing modules, each with a form factor similar to the S5, plus an additional hashing board positioned in the middle.

2 Features
Feature | Specification |
Ideal Hash Rate (GH/s) | 7722 GH/s ±5% |
Default chip clock (M) | 325 |
Input Voltage (V) | 12.00 |
Estimate power on wall (W) (assume with AC/DC 93% efficiency, 25°C ambient temp) | 3436W |
Estimate efficiency on wall (W/GH) | 0.445 |
Dimensions (mm) | 275 mm x 372 mm x 155 mm |
Weight (kg) | 11 |
Operating ambient temperature (°C) | 0~40 |
Notes: Input voltage should not be less than 12.00V. All three PCIE connectors are required on each hash board due to the serial power solution and the absence of DC/DC conversion within the miner. Higher input voltage may lead to increased mining efficiency.
3 Power Supply
Each AntMiner S5+ requires 27 PCI-e connectors for +12V/15A DC STABLE input on the hash boards and 1 PCI-e connector for the controller, totaling 28 PCI-e connectors. To prevent potential damage and instability, do not connect more than one PSU to the same hashing board. Ensure that the hash boards are connected to the PSU first, followed by the controller to the PSU. Refer to the following diagrams for correct and incorrect PCI-E connection methods:

4 Connect to Miner
Step 1: The default DHCP network protocol automatically distributes IP addresses. Download IPReporter.zip
from minerlink.com and follow the steps below to find the miner's IP address.
- Extract the file and double-click
IPReporter.exe
. The 'Shelf, Step, Position' options are useful for farm miners to mark miner locations; for home miners, these can be left at their default settings. Click 'Start'.

5 Miner Configuration
5.1 Pool Setting
Configure your miner through the Miner Configuration > General Settings menu. Enter the Pool URL, your Worker ID on the selected pool, and the Password for your worker.
- The AntMiner S5+ supports setup with up to three mining pools, with priority decreasing from Pool 1 to Pool 3. Pools with lower priority are utilized only if higher priority pools become unavailable.
- When the 'Stop running when temperature is over 80°C' option is checked, the miner will halt operations if the temperature exceeds 80°C to protect the unit. If unchecked, the miner will continue to operate even at high temperatures.
- When 'Customize the fan speed percentage' is checked, customers can manually control the fan speed. If unchecked, the fan speed will automatically adjust based on the hash board temperatures.
Click 'Save & Apply' to save settings and restart the miner.

5.2 Frequency Modification
You can adjust the frequency value via Miner Configuration > Advanced Settings. The default frequency for the AntMiner S5+ is 325M.

6 Miner Status
Monitor the operating status of your miner on the Miner Status page. Key indicators include:
- ASIC#: Number of chips detected in the chain.
- Frequency: ASIC frequency setting.
- Temp: Temperature in centigrade.
- ASIC status: 'o' indicates OK, 'x' indicates an error.

7 System Configuration and Status
7.1 System Upgrading
Firmware upgrades for the miner can be performed on the System > Upgrade page.
Image Description: Screenshot of the AntMiner web interface's System Upgrade page, showing options for backup, restore, and flashing new firmware. It includes a message indicating a successful upgrade and the need to restart the miner.
'Keep setting' is selected by default to retain current configurations. Deselect this option to revert to default settings. Click the 'Browse' button to select an upgrade file, then click 'Flash image...'. The interface will indicate if the firmware can be upgraded and download the software. During the upgrade process, maintain continuous power; failure to do so may require factory repair. The interface will display the upgrade status.
Clicking the 'Reboot' button restarts the miner to load the new software. Clicking 'Go Back' allows the AntMiner to continue mining and apply the new software upon the next restart or power cycle.
7.2 Password Modification
The AntMiner login password can be changed on the System > Administration page. After modification, press 'Save and Apply' to confirm the new password.

7.4 Restore Initial Setting
A 'Reset' button is located on the right side of the Ethernet port, next to the green and red LED lights. To restore default settings and reboot, power on the miner, let it run for 5 minutes, then press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds. A successful reset is indicated by the red LED flashing once every 15 seconds.
