DocumentDocumentRemote Sensor SET UP GUIDE MODEL: TX146 POWER UP 1. Insert 2-AA batteries into each Sensor. 2. Insert 2-AAA batteries into your Display. 3. Enter the Settings Menu to set your time, date, and other settings. 4. Once sensor readings show on the display, place them where desired. For outside mounting tips visit: bit.ly/th_sensor_mounting. Note: The sensors will come preset to Channel 1 (sensor 1) and Channel 3 (Sensor 2). In most cases, these switches will not require adjustment. TX146 Sensors 308-149 Station + + - AA + AA - AA + AA - - AAA AAA BUTTON FUNCTIONS SET: Hold to enter the Settings Menu. Press to confirm setting. + (PLUS): Hold to search for sensors. ALERTS: Press to view Alert History. When viewing hold the CLEAR | button to delete. Hold to enter Alert Settings. Press to confirm alert setting. HIGH/LOW RECORDS: Tap to view HI/LO Records. When viewing hold the CLEAR | - button to delete. CLEAR | -: When viewing HI/LO Records or Alert History, hold to clear individual records or alerts. 2 DISPLAY AND SENSOR MOUNTING Display: Place the display directly on a table using the built-in pull-down stand on the back. Alternatively, hang it on a wall or refrigerator using the triangle hanging hole or rear magnets. Magnets or hanging hole on the back to mount on a wall or refrigerator. Built-in Stand Folds down from back and clicks back intoplace. Sensors: Use the provided sensor stands to mount the sensors from the bottom, back, or top. Removable Mounting Brackets provide various mounting options Position vertically to allow condensation to drain out. Avoid spilling liquids on sensors. 3 SETTINGS MENU 1. Hold the SET button until the display changes to the Settings Menu. 2. Use the + or CLEAR | - button to adjust the values. Hold to adjust quickly. 3. Press the SET button to confirm and move to the next item. Settings Menu Order: · 12/24 Hour Time Display · Hour · Minutes · Year · Month · Date · Fahrenheit/Celsius · Decimal/No Decimal Weekday: Weekday will set automatically when Year, Month and Date are set. 4 HIGH/LOW RECORDS The display will record High and Low Records with time and date stamps for each sensor. View Records: Tap and release the HIGH/LOW button on the front of your display to view records from both sensors. Viewing Order: · Sensor 1 HI Record · Sensor 1 LO Record · Sensor 2 HI Record · Sensor 2 LO Record Reset Records: While viewing a record, hold the CLEAR | - button to reset that record. ALERTS This display can provide High and Low Temperature Alerts for each sensor. · When an alert is reached, the alert icon and value will flash and the display will beep 5 times each minute and alternate between the Calendar Mode and Alert Mode every 30 seconds for 5 minutes. · Press any button to stop the Alert Sound. · The Alert Icon will continue to flash while in the alert range, or until the alert is disarmed or adjusted. Alert Icons HI Alert LO Alert 5 Set & Disarm Alerts: 1. Hold the ALERTS button until the display changes to Alert Settings. 2. Use the + or CLEAR | - button to arm or disarm the alert. Press the ALERTS button to confirm and move to the alert value. 3. The Alert Value will flash. Use the + or CLEAR | - button to adjust the alert value. Hold to adjust quickly. Press the ALERTS button to confirm and move to the next alert or exit. 4. The word "FINISH" will show after the last alert setting, and the display will then return to the normal display. Alert Setting Order: · Sensor 1 HI alert · Sensor 1 LO alert · Sensor 2 HI alert · Sensor 2 LO alert Alert History: · Press the ALERTS button to view your alert history. · While viewing alert history, hold the CLEAR | - button to delete a stored alert value and time stamp. · If no alerts have been triggered, the station will show NO ALERTS when the ALERTS button is pressed. 6 SEARCH FOR SENSORS · If a sensor loses connection to the display for any reason, the display will show NO on screen after 30 minutes. · The display will automatically search for 3 minutes every hour to try and reconnect with the sensor. · Hold the + (PLUS) button until the Reception Icon starts to animate to manually search for the outdoor sensor(s). · Install a new set of alkaline batteries and press the sensor's TX button to force a transmission. SENSOR DISPLAY · There is a Channel Selector and TX button inside the sensor battery compartment. · Press the TX button on to manually send a signal. Hold the TX button to select Fahrenheit or Celsius temperature display on the sensor. · The boxed number on the bottom indicates the channel selected on the sensor. · The transmission waves will animate during transmission and be solid when not transmitting. LOW BATTERY INDICATOR · When the Low Battery Icon shows by the time, replace batteries in the display. · When the Low Battery Icon shows by Sensor 1, replace batteries in Sensor 1. · When the Low Battery Icon shows by Sensor 2, replace batteries in Sensor 2. 7 STAY IN TOUCH Ask questions, watch setup videos, and provide feedback on our social media outlets.
