User Manual
Models: ZCL08, ZCL10
Install Battery
- Unlock the chain lock.
- Loosen the hex screw inside the lock head.
- Take out the battery compartment.
- Open the waterproof lid.
- Install the CR2 lithium battery.
- Reassemble the parts.
Diagrams illustrate the battery installation for both Model ZCL08 and ZCL10. Key components shown are the Hex Screw, Waterproof Lid, and CR2 Battery. The process involves removing the hex screw, opening the waterproof lid, and inserting the CR2 battery. It is crucial to ensure the waterproof lid is securely closed to maintain the lock's water resistance.
120 Decibels Alarm
The alarm is loud and has a decibel rating of 120. Please avoid placing the lock next to your ears when the alarm is activated. The extremely loud sound can damage your hearing.
Locking with Alarm Activated
- Insert the end of the chain into the head of the lock.
- Insert the key into the key barrel and rotate anti-clockwise. Listen for 1 short beep.
- After 5 seconds, the siren will sound a single long beep to indicate the alarm is activated.
If the lock is hit or vibrated, the siren will emit five rapid beeps as a warning. If no further movements are detected within 5 seconds, the alarm will rearm automatically. If movements are continuously detected, the siren will burst out a 120dB alarm for 15 seconds. This process repeats until no movement is detected. The alarm can be stopped by unlocking the lock.
Locking with Alarm Deactivated
- Insert the end of the chain into the head of the lock.
- Insert the key into the key barrel and rotate anti-clockwise. Listen for 2 short beeps. The alarm function is deactivated.
Battery Life
The typical life span of a CR2 lithium battery is approximately 8-12 months. However, frequent triggering or extreme temperatures could shorten battery life.
Key Registration & Replacement
Before use, register your key at www.zoviitech.com using the code (letters + digits) on the tag next to the keys. You can order replacement keys on the Zovii website if keys are lost.
Troubleshooting
- Alarm not working: Check the battery and ensure your lock is in alarm mode.
- Lock making a constant sound: Replace the battery.
- Alarm ringing continuously, broke off, and gave a beep warning sound: Replace the battery.
- Alarm module is damaged: The alarm module is replaceable. Please contact your local authorized dealers for details.
Warranty
One Year Manufacturer Warranty
Zovii warrants the Product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of original purchase ("Warranty Period") when the Product is purchased through an authorized reseller. If a defect arises and a valid claim with photo is received by Zovii within the Warranty Period, Zovii will repair the Product or exchange it with a functionally equivalent new product.
Exclusions and Limitations
- Warranty applies only to the Product purchased through an authorized reseller.
- Does not apply to any non-Zovii product, even if packaged or sold with the Product.
- Excludes any scratching or surface damage.
- Applies only to normal use in accordance with written instructions.
- Does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, or modification.
- Products that have been altered or modified are not covered.
No Other Warranties
- This warranty and remedies are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies, and conditions.
- Zovii disclaims all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
- No reseller, agent, or employee is authorized to modify this warranty.
Damages Limitation
- Zovii and its suppliers are not liable for special, incidental, indirect, or consequential damages (including loss of profits, business interruption, personal injury).
Consumer Protection
- For consumers covered by consumer protection laws, the benefits of this warranty are in addition to statutory rights.
- Zovii's liability is limited, at its option, to replacement or repair of the product.
- No warranty for damage to surface appearance.
