Never be stranded again with the LifeGoods Jump Starter & Powerbank. The portable powerbank is equipped with 2 quick charge USB-ports and can be charged via micro USB and USB Type-C. The Jump Starter is suited for all 12V vehicles. It is IP67 waterproof, with an LED flashlight, SOS strobe light, and includes a carrying case.

⚠️ Make sure to keep this user manual. Read the manual carefully before using your LifeGoods Jump Starter!

Be aware of the risks and consequences resulting from misuse of the Jump Starter. Misuse of the device can result in personal injury, or destruction of the instrument/appliance/device and of the installations.
Use the Jump Starter only for purposes described in this user manual.
If the Jump Starter malfunctions, is dropped or (appears to be) damaged in any manner, do NOT use the Jump Starter and contact Customer Service.
The Jump Starter is designed and intended for private, non-commercial use only.
Do NOT keep the Jump Starter unattended when in use.
This device should NOT be used by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities, or persons (including children) with lack of experience with and knowledge of the device, unless they are supervised or have been given instruction concerning the use by a person responsible for their safety.
Keep the Jump Starter away from children and pets when using and storing.
Do NOT reconstruct, repair or disassemble the Jump Starter. This can damage the device. For safety reasons, these parts may only be replaced by authorized service personnel. In order to prevent hazards, always send the device to the service centre for repairs.
Make sure your outlet supplies the correct power voltage to avoid damage to the Jump Starter.
Always check the cords, cables, and plug before using the Jump Starter. Do NOT operate the device if any of the above are damaged. Damaged parts must be replaced by a qualified person in order to avoid damages and personal injuries.
Only use parts provided by LifeGoods. Parts by other manufacturers can damage the device.
The Jump Starter can be used when it is raining. However, do not expose the device to excessive rain or other water sources. Do NOT submerge the Jump Starter in water. If water does get inside the casing, turn the device off immediately and contact our customer service.
Do NOT operate the device with damp or wet hands and do NOT touch the power cord with damp or wet hands.
Do not operate the Jump Starter in explosive environments, such as close to flammable liquids, gasses or dust.
The working temperature of the Jump Starter is (-20°C~+60°C). Do NOT operate the Jump Starter in temperatures outside this range.
Keep the device away from moisture, heat and surroundings where the temperature is relatively high and heat sources.
Under extreme heat conditions, battery leakage may occur. Avoid contact with your skin. In case of skin or eye contact, rinse immediately with clean water and seek medical attention. Do NOT continue to use the same battery and take it to your local battery recycling center for disposal.
Let the battery be replaced in a ventilated area and do NOT block this ventilation.
When misusing the battery, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, flush with water. If the liquid comes into contact with your eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery may cause burns or irritation.
Make sure to connect the clamps to the battery correctly. Caution: the clamps cannot touch each other.
Do NOT place the Jump Starter on the floor, or at a height less than 457 mm (18 in) above the floor, during use in a repair facility.
The Jump Starter is suited for use with 12V vehicles only. Using the Jump Starter on non-12V vehicles may cause serious damage to the vehicle, the Jump Starter, or injury to the user. Refer to the owner's manual of the vehicle if you are uncertain what voltage the vehicle runs on.
To reduce the risk of damage to the electric plug and cord, pull the plug rather than the cord when disconnecting the Jump Starter.
Do not use a battery pack or appliance that is damaged or modified. Damaged or modified batteries may exhibit unpredictable behavior, resulting in fire, explosions, or injuries.
Disconnect the Jump Starter from its power source before usage.
Working in the vicinity of a lead acid battery is dangerous. Batteries generate explosive gasses during operation. Make sure to follow the instructions when using the Jump Starter.
Always wear complete eye protection and safety gloves when jump starting a battery to protect your eyes and hands. Do not touch your eyes when operating the battery.
Always make sure the blue plug is correctly connected to the jump start socket on the Jump Starter.
Make sure that the battery clamps are correctly connected and that the connectors are free from rust and dirt.
Consider keeping someone close by to come to your aid when working near a lead-acid battery.
Always have enough fresh water and soap nearby in case the battery acid comes into contact with your skin, clothing, or eyes. If battery acid comes into contact with your skin or clothing, wash them with soap immediately. If the acid comes into contact with your eyes, immediately rinse your eye with cold, running water for at least 10 minutes and seek medical attention immediately.
Do NOT smoke or allow sparks or flames in the vicinity of the battery or engine.
Make sure not to drop metal tools on the battery. This can cause sparks, a short-circuit, or an explosion.
Remove personal items such as rings, bracelets, necklaces, and watches when working with a lead-acid battery. A lead-acid battery can produce a short circuit current high enough to cause severe burns.
Do NOT cover the Jump Starter when it is switched on. Never put blankets or cushions on top of or against the device. This poses a risk of fire, electric shock, or injury.

Receiving Your Shipment

When receiving your shipment, make sure that the contents are consistent with the packing list.
Notify your distributor of any missing items.
If the equipment appears to be damaged, file a claim immediately with the carrier and notify your distributor at once, giving a detailed description of any damage. Save the damaged packing container to substantiate your claim.

Operating Instructions

Power Indicator Light

Press the power button to check the capacity of the Jump Starter. The indicator light shows if the Jump Starter is charged 25%, 50%, 75%, or 100%.

Charging the Jump Starter

⚠️ Use an adapter that is certified as a Class 2 or a LPS power supply or power adapter.

Charging at Home

Plug the USB cable into your computer or any USB 2A wall adapter (not included).
Connect the micro USB cable to the Jump Starter.

Charging in a Car

Use an USB car adapter and plug the adapter into an available 12V socket.
Connect the micro USB-cable to the Jump Starter.

Charging through USB

Use the original USB-cable provided by LifeGoods and plug the cable into one of the USB output ports. You can charge two devices at the same time. One of the ports has a maximum output of 3A and the other has a maximum output of 2.1A. Press the power button to charge your device. The power level indicator will show the battery level. To check the power capacity again, simply press the power button once.

Charging Electronic Devices

Charge your mobile phone or tablet:

Plug the cable into USB port 1, 2, or the Type-C port.
Connect your phone or tablet.
Press the on/off button to turn on the Jump Starter and charge your electronic devices.

Turning on the LED flashlight

Press the on/off button for 3 seconds to turn on the light. Shortly press the on/off button to switch between the 3 modes: Strong light, strobe, and SOS.

Jump Starting a Car

⚠️ This Jump Starter is suited for 12V cars only. Make sure that there are always 3 to 4 indicator lights on (battery level is above 50%) before using the jump starter to start your car.

The jumper cables are colour coded: RED for POSITIVE (+) and BLACK for NEGATIVE (-). Do NOT mix up the cables and make sure that the metal ends do NOT touch, this can damage the battery, the charging system, and other electronics.
To jump start your vehicle, put your vehicle in neutral (or park for automatic cars) and engage the emergency brake. Locate the battery for the vehicle and follow the steps listed below.

Step 1: Connect Plug

Insert the plug connected to the jumper cables securely into the Jump Starter. If the green and red lights flash alternately, you are safe to move on to the next step.

Step 2: Connect Clamps

Connect the red clamp to the positive terminal (+) and the black clamp to the negative terminal (-). If the green and red lights flash alternately, you are safe to move on to the next step.

However, if the red indicator light is on:

The jumper cables might be connected to the wrong terminal. If so, disconnect the clamps from the vehicle and the Jump Starter and connect them correctly.
Adjust the clamps for maximum contact with the battery terminals.

Step 3a: Attempt to Start Car

If you failed to jump start your car, remove the clamps from the battery and the Jump Starter. Wait for at least 30 seconds, then reconnect them. If you failed to start your car after two attempts, you can use the force start function and move on to step 3-b.

Step 3b: Forced Start (Optional)

Make sure that the jumper cables are connected to the correct terminals. Press the forced start button for 3 seconds. When the indicator light on the battery clamp lights up in green, you need to start your car within 30 seconds.

Step 4: Disconnect

If you have started your car successfully, remove the jumper cables from the battery and the vehicle within 30 seconds.

Troubleshooting

Problem	Cause	Solution
Cannot jump start	The jump starter cables are connected reversely	Make sure that the RED clamp is connected to the POSITIVE terminal and the BLACK clamp is connected to the NEGATIVE terminal.
Cannot jump start	30 second timer to jump start has expired	Disconnect the cables from the vehicle battery and reconnect.
Cannot jump start	Low battery	Charge the jump starter via the USB cable until at least three solid lights or until it is at least 51% charged.
The flash light does not work	Low battery	Charge the jump starter via the USB cable.
The flash light does not work	The jump starter is charging	The flash light does not work when the jump starter is charging. Either unplug the jump starter from its power source or wait until it is charged.
No wall adapter	Charge via USB cable	Insert the USB cable into a computer or any USB 2A wall adapter.
No indication light	Low battery	Charge via USB-cable.
No indication light	The powerbank is turned off	Press the on/off button.

The red light stays on	- The clamps are reversely connected. Check if this is the case. - The clamp is short-circuited. Check whether the two clamps together connect or connect the clamps to the same piece of metal.
The red light flashes slowly	- Back charge protection is activated, the voltage of the car battery is higher than 12.6V. No jump start needed, the car battery is enough to start your car.
The red light flashes quickly	The temperature of the clamp exceeds 65°C (+/- 5°C). Remove the clamp until the red and green lights flash.
The green light flashes slowly	The voltage of the starter is too low. Try to replace the power supply or charge it in time.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Check the battery level at least every 3 months and charge the Jump Starter timely. Clean the Jump Starter with a dry and clean cloth. Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaning agents.

Storage

Store the Jump Starter in a clean and dry place with enough ventilation. Do not store the device in temperatures above 50°C or in extreme low temperatures.

Disposal - Recycle

Contribute to a cleaner living environment! Do not dispose of the Jump Starter with the household waste. For proper recycling, please contact your local authority or your household waste disposal service for further details on your nearest designated collection point.

LifeGoods provides a 2 year warranty on its products. To obtain service during the warranty period, the product needs to be returned with a proof of purchase. Product defects have to be reported within 2 years from the date of purchase. This warranty does not cover: damages caused by misuse or incorrect repair; parts subject to wear; defects that the customer was aware of at the time of purchase; damages or defects caused by customer neglect; damages or defects caused by third parties.
