This manual provides essential information for operating your Pro1 T601-2 thermostat. A Spanish version of this manual is available for download on the company website.

Thermostat Operation

The Pro1 T601-2 thermostat allows you to control your home's heating and cooling system. The main components are:

The thermostat features a digital LCD display showing 'Temperature' and 'Set At' values. Below the display are controls labeled 'FAN' with options 'ON' and 'AUTO', and 'SYSTEM' with options 'COOL', 'OFF', and 'HEAT'. To the right of the display are '+' and '-' buttons for adjusting the set temperature. A small panel at the bottom is labeled 'Easy change battery door'.

Thermostat Quick Reference

Battery Door Information

The battery compartment is accessed by a finger bevel on the lower portion of the thermostat. It requires 2 AA Alkaline Batteries. High-quality alkaline batteries are recommended.

Simple operating instructions are also found on the back of the battery door.

Important Battery Notes

⚠️ When the battery icon ? appears, replace your AA batteries immediately. Failure to do so may result in your heating & cooling system becoming inoperable. Freezing or overheating can occur.

Low Battery Indicator: Replace batteries when the indicator is shown.

The low battery indicator is displayed when the AA battery power is low. If the user fails to replace the battery within 21 days, the screen will only show the low battery indicator but maintain all functionality. If the user fails to replace the batteries after an additional 21 days (days 22-42 since first "low battery" display), the setpoints will change to 55°F (Heating) and 85°F (Cooling). If the user adjusts the setpoint away from either of these, it will hold for 4 hours then return to either 55°F or 85°F. After day 63, the batteries must be replaced immediately to avoid freezing or overheating because the thermostat will shut the unit off until the batteries are changed.

System Operation Indicators

The 'ON' indicator will display when the COOL or HEAT system is active.

Display Indicators

The thermostat display shows the current room temperature on the left side. The right side displays the selected setpoint temperature.
