Matek FCHUB-12S V2 Quick Start Guide

Layout

The FCHUB-12S V2 features labeled pads for various connections:

1/21 VBat

This is a 1K:20K voltage divider. The output voltage ranges from 0-2.857V when the input VBat is between 0-60V.

12VSW & PIO

The "12VSW" pad has no output by default if PINIO is not enabled. Any unused RX/TX/motor/PWM pad can be used for PINIO. For example, connect a PIO pad to the "Rx3" of a MATEK H743-SLIM flight controller.

CLI commands for configuration:

set pinio_box = 42

pinio_box 40 user1, 41 user2, 42 user3, 43 user4

To configure a switch for 12VSW:

  1. Go to the Modes tab in your flight controller configurator.
  2. Assign an AUX channel to the USER3 mode.
  3. Click SAVE.
  4. Flip the switch to test (12VSW OFF / 12VSW ON).

"V" pad on JST-SH connector

This pad is used for the 12V or VBat input, typically connected to the JST-SH connector.

Wiring with MATEKSYS H743-SLIM

This section details the wiring connections between the FCHUB-12S V2 and the MATEKSYS H743-SLIM flight controller.

BetaFlight Configuration:

To configure the RSSI pin:

CLI resource to locate RSSI pin name
RSSI pin is C05
then
resource ADC_RSSI 1 none

set vbat_scale = 210
save

INAV Configuration:

To get ADC values:

vbat_adc_channel = 1
Allowed range: 0-4
rssi_adc_channel = 3
Allowed range: 0-4
current_adc_channel = 2
Allowed range: 0-4
airspeed_adc_channel = 4
Allowed range: 0-4
save

ArduPilot Configuration:

BATT_VOLT_PIN 8
BATT_VOLT_MULT 21.0

This section illustrates the wiring between the FCHUB-12S V2 and the MATEKSYS F405-HDTE flight controller.
