- [D] Distributor: Optimized for evaporator duties, with devices to evenly distribute refrigerant.
- [A] Adapter/Temperature Monitoring: Ports for easy installation of temperature sensors.
- [HP] High Pressure: Designed to withstand up to 45 bar for environmental friendly refrigerants like R410a.
- [Ni] Nickel Brazed: Suitable for deionized water, ammonia solvents, and fluids incompatible with copper.
- [DC] Dual Circuit: Connects two independent refrigerant circuits with the water circuit for lower water-outlet temperatures.

Plate and Channel Design
BPHE type B utilizes two types of plates and three types of channels, influencing thermal characteristics:
Plate Types:
- H type plate: Features obtuse angles, increasing fluid turbulence for higher heat transfer efficiency.
- L type plate: Features acute angles, reducing pressure drop and turbulence, leading to lower heat transfer efficiency.
Channel Types:
- H channel: Made by two H plates, offering high heat transfer coefficient and high pressure drop.
- L channel: Made by two L plates, offering lower heat transfer coefficient and lower pressure drop.
- M channel: Made by one H plate and one L plate, providing medium pressure drop and heat transfer coefficient.
