Name of Each Part
This section identifies the components of the Zojirushi Stainless Steel Food Jar.
- Lid: The top cover of the food jar.
- Lid Set: The assembly that includes the lid and stopper, designed to seal the jar and release pressure.
- Stopper: A component within the Lid Set that seals the opening.
- Container: The main body of the food jar, constructed with double-wall stainless steel vacuum-insulated technology.
- Mouth: The opening of the container.
- Maximum Fill Line (Raised Line): A marking inside the container indicating the maximum fill level.
- Gasket: A sealing ring, typically made of rubber or silicone, located within the Stopper. It is not removable.
How to Use:
The lid opens and closes with a twisting motion. It is designed to release pressure when opening.
Important Note on Lid Set: While removing the Lid Set, some resistance may be experienced midway; this is normal. The Stopper may feel loose when removing the Lid Set; this is not a malfunction.

General Warnings
- WARNING: Do not allow infants or small children to use this product. Keep out of their reach.
Cautions
- Do not attach parts other than those specifically designed for this product.
- Always assemble the Lid Set before using.
- Do not use the product if its thermal insulation performance has deteriorated.
- Do not use if water enters the interior of the Vacuum Layer. If internal water seeps out, consuming it may cause illness.
- Do not fill the Container with foods or beverages above the Maximum Fill Line (Raised Line).
- Do not hold the product by the Lid Set when carrying, as it may fall and cause injuries.
- Do not place near heat sources (gas stoves, ovens, heaters) to prevent deformation or discoloration.
- When containing hot foods or beverages, drink slowly without tilting the Container suddenly.
- Do not disassemble the product (other than parts designed to be disassembled).
- Do not heat in a microwave, as it may cause sparks.
- Do not use the product while driving.
- Do not place near open flames, electric heaters, or IH cooking devices, as it may cause fire or malfunction.
- Consume food or beverages as soon as possible (within 6 hours) and finish them in one sitting.
- Do not use this product for other than storing and keeping foods and beverages hot or cold.
- Never put the following into the product: dry ice, carbonated drinks, perishable fresh foods (uncooked meat, seafood, dairy products, eggs, etc.).
- Always make sure cold soups or foods and beverages containing dairy products are cooked (heated) through before placing them in the Container.
- Follow instructions when placing salads/fruit: use fresh, wash well, wash hands, avoid cross-contamination, cool before filling.
- Make sure food or beverage does not leak before using.
- Do not heat the product from the outside if the Lid Set is difficult to remove. Doing so may increase pressure, cause the Lid Set to fly off, damage it, or spray contents, leading to injury. Use a non-slip soft material (like rubber gloves) and open at an upright position.
- Do not forcibly remove the Gasket from the Stopper; it is not removable.
- Do not use if the Gasket is damaged or coming off.
- Avoid using to keep food hot or cold for extended periods. Wash the Container, Lid, and Stopper immediately after use.
- Foods with strong odors or colors (curry, kimchi, pickled vegetables) may cause the product to absorb odors or discolor the Lid Set. Wash immediately after use. (Stains may not be completely removed, but the product can still be used.)
- Avoid dropping or hitting against hard surfaces.
- Do not place cans, bottles, etc., inside the Container.
- Do not scratch or rub the design on the outside of the Container strongly with fingernails or hard objects, as this may cause the design to come off.
- Avoid leaving in direct sunlight for an extended period.
- Do not remove the sticker on the bottom of the Container.
- Do not place objects directly on top of the Lid Set, as they may absorb heat.
- Place the product vertically when carrying it in a bag to prevent leakage.
Note: The rattling noise when the Container is shaken is normal and comes from the metallic foil used for vacuum insulation; it does not indicate a malfunction.
How to Disassemble and Assemble the Lid Set
How to Disassemble the Lid Set:
Remove the Stopper from the Lid: Turn the Stopper in the direction of the arrow (clockwise) while pulling it in the indicated direction to remove it.

Assembling the Lid Set:
Attach the Stopper to the Lid:
- Align the triangular symbol (▲) on the Lid with the square symbol (☐) on the Stopper.
- Turn the Lid in the direction of the arrow (clockwise) to align the next triangular symbol (▲) on the Lid with the square symbol (☐) on the Stopper.

How to Take Care of Your Product
- Thoroughly clean the product before use.
- A plastic smell may be present when first used, but it will become less noticeable with use.
- Clean the product after each use to prevent odors and mold, and to maintain hygiene.
- Always disassemble the product before cleaning.
When Cleaning Your Product:
- Do not boil or use a dishwasher or dish-dryer.
- Do not clean using paint thinner, polishing powders, abrasive cleansers, scrub brushes (nylon, metal wire, etc.), melamine sponges, the nylon side of an abrasive sponge, or any similar items.
- Do not use bleach, as it may damage the product.
- Zojirushi's designated cleaning detergent SB-ZA01E may be used for the interior of the Container and Lid.
- The Container is washable, but do not soak it in water for extended periods.
- If the product will not be used for an extended period, wash thoroughly, dry well, and store away from high temperatures and humidity.
Regular Care:
- Using mild kitchen detergent diluted with lukewarm water, wash the Lid Set and the outside of the Container with a sponge. Wash the inside of the Container with a soft sponge with a handle. Use a small brush if necessary.
- Rinse, wipe away remaining water, and leave to dry thoroughly.
Streaks or smudges on the coated portion of the Container that cannot be removed by the above method can be removed using a soft eraser.
What to Do If Rust Spots Form on the Container:
- Fill the Container with hot water mixed with 10% vinegar, without attaching the Lid Set.
- After 30 minutes to an hour, wash the interior thoroughly.
What to Do If the Product Absorbs Odors:
Container & Lid Set: Wash thoroughly and dry with a soft cloth. Place in the sun and let dry for 1-2 hours.
Replacing the Lid:
Zojirushi uses safe and hygienic materials for food contact. However, if plastic parts become damaged or their surface becomes rough, please replace them for optimum performance. The Lid Set may need replacement due to time and wear; check them about once a year. When replacing parts, record the model number and part name, then contact the store of purchase or Zojirushi Customer Service. Replacement parts may be available for an additional charge.
