- Persons using medication should consult a physician, as medication can cause drowsiness or affect heart rate/blood pressure.
- The thermostatic mixer requires careful operation to avoid scalding or catching a cold.
- ⚠️ Do not operate the unit without the suction cover over the suction fitting. This is a safety device to reduce entrapment hazards. Keep hair and body away from the suction cover when the pump is running.
- Never drop or insert objects into any opening within the whirlpool.
- Never operate electrically connected devices in or near the bath. Keep electrical appliances (hair dryers, lamps, radios, etc.) at least 5 feet (1.5 meters) away from the bathtub.
- Always implement countermeasures to prevent freezing, especially during winter use. Empty the bathtub and pipes.
- Use only standard tap water. Well water may cause corrosion and leaks.
- Avoid exposing the bathtub to ultraviolet or bright light, which can accelerate aging.
- Keep the bathtub away from cigarette butts, hair dryers, and other heat sources to prevent high-temperature deformation.
- When not in use, keep the bathtub well-ventilated and dry. Avoid contact with corrosive substances. Cut off electricity and water supply.
- Do not drop or strike the bathtub with hard objects to avoid cracks, scratches, or leaks.
- Do not disconnect or split any connection lines, control panel, or bus master while the product is operating, as this may cause leakage, electric shock, or other accidents.
- Test the Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI) regularly, ideally before each use.
- Clean the product with water or mild detergent. Avoid acids, alkalis, chemical organic solvents, or acidic/alkaline cleaning agents, which can damage the surface. For stubborn stains, use a clean cloth with a little alcohol.
- For plating parts, use a cotton fabric to scrub. Light scratches can be restored using waterproof sandpaper (NO. 1200, then NO. 2000) and a polishing agent.

Installation Instructions
Inspection Before Installation
Although Empava bathtubs are water-tested at the factory, connections may loosen during transport. Perform a water test before final installation:
- Place the tub on a flat surface in a drainable area. Adjust feet to level the bathtub.
- Check all connection systems for looseness.
- Close the drain, fill the tub to the overflow level, and let it stand for 10 minutes to check for leaks.
- Insert the plug, start all functions (including massage) for a few minutes, and inspect the tub. Report any defects to your dealer/distributor before installation.
Installation Steps
1. Water Connection:
- Connect the stainless steel cold and hot water hoses (1/2" connector) to the corresponding bathroom water lines.
- Before connecting the bathtub inlet pipe, flush the water pipes for a period to remove debris that could enter the bathtub's system and extend fitting life. A filter screen is recommended.
2. Electrical Connection:
- Connect the bathtub to a 110-120V, 15 amp circuit outlet.
- Ensure the bathtub is properly grounded. Connect one side of the ground wire to the ground terminal of the motor and the stainless steel frame. Connect the other side to the ground wires of the plug.
- The power outlet must be sealed, and all wire surfaces must be intact.
- A licensed electrician must install the grounding and electric leakage switch.
3. Drainage:
- Manual Drainage: Step on the drain cover to close it. Step on it again to open it.
- Overflow Drainage: When the water level exceeds the maximum, excess water will drain through the overflow cover.
- Ensure the drain pipe is installed with a slope of at least 1:50 and forms an S-bend for odor isolation.
4. Shower Head Installation:
- Remove the hose connector from the shower holder.
- Insert the rubber gasket into the hose connector.
- Tighten the shower head and hose connector securely.
- Rotate the shower head shell to adjust the water pattern (inner, middle, or external water column).
5. Adjusting Leveling Feet:
- Use a wrench or level ruler to ensure the bathtub is perfectly level.
- Improper leveling can lead to increased noise, remaining water in hoses, or bathtub shaking.
Control Panel Operation
- Start/Stop: Press the center button once to start the machine; press repeatedly to shut it down.
- Hydro Massage Flow Rate: Rotate the control switch clockwise to decrease strength; rotate counter-clockwise to increase strength. (Feature available on models with this control).
- Water Jets: Adjust the angle of inflow by turning the water jet head up, down, left, or right.
Diagrams illustrate the multi-function shower head adjustment, control buttons (start/stop, flow rate), and water jet angle adjustment.
Care and Maintenance
Regular maintenance keeps your bathtub clean and functional.
- Flush pump and pipe circulation systems before first use and monthly thereafter.
- Cleaning Procedure:
- Do not run the jet massage system dry.
- Fill the tub with hot water (approx. 40°C / 104°F) so it is 2-3 cm (0.9-1.2 inches) above the jets.
- Add 2-3 teaspoons of low-foaming detergent (e.g., dishwashing machine detergent).
- Turn on all functions and run for 10 minutes.
- Drain the tub completely.
- Fill the tub with cold water above the jets.
- Turn on all functions and run for 15 minutes.
- Drain the tub completely.
- Clean the "suction cover" by removing any hair or lint.
Whirlpool Suction Cover/Strainer Maintenance
- Rotate the suction cover counter-clockwise to detach it.
- Remove any hair, lint, or debris from the cover and housing.
- Reattach the cover securely, ensuring the small notch is at the bottom and the gasket is in place.
⚠️ DANGER: RISK OF SEVERE INJURY OR DROWNING!
- Keep hair at least 6 inches (152 mm) away from the suction fitting when the whirlpool system is operating. Secure long hair or wear a bathing cap.
- Never operate the whirlpool system with the suction cover removed. It is a critical safety device.
This bathtub is designed for "fill and drain" use. It needs to be drained and refilled with fresh water after each use for health reasons. It is not designed to hold water continuously like pools or spas.
When filling, ensure water is at least 1"-2" (25-51 mm) above the highest jet or air inlet. Do not operate the whirlpool or air system if jets/inlets are not fully immersed, as this may cause water spray.
