Wi-Fi Signal in the Garage

A stable Wi-Fi signal is required in the garage. The range of your Wi-Fi network depends on factors such as the thickness and number of walls, doors, or other barriers between your router and the garage. The average range is approximately 50-100 feet from the Wi-Fi router.

Testing your signal: Take your smartphone into the garage and check for a Wi-Fi signal. If the signal strength is insufficient, consider using a Wi-Fi range extender, which are widely available at consumer electronics stores.

Compatible Garage Door Openers

Your garage door opener must be equipped with safety reversing sensors. These sensors are typically located at the bottom of the door track and prevent the door from closing if an obstruction is detected in its path.

• Genie: Compatible with openers manufactured after 1996 (Intellicode 1 and Intellicode 2).
• LiftMaster: Compatible with openers featuring yellow, purple, orange, green, or red program button colors on the motor unit.
• Linear: Compatible with all garage door openers.
• Overhead Door: Compatible with openers manufactured after 1996 (Intellicode 1 and Intellicode 2).
