Product Description

A continuous tone, piezo buzzer. It has an operating temperature of up to 105°C, making it highly suited to applications with higher temperatures such as air conditioners, humidifiers, steamers, etc. It is a small and low profile device, with a voltage range from 3-25Vp-p. It requires additional circuitry to generate sound.

Environmental Tests

Test Item Specifications
2-1 Storage in High temp. Storage in +105℃ ± 2℃ test box for 96 hours, then expose to the room temperature for 2 hours without applying power.
2-2 Storage in Low temp. Storage in -40℃ ± 2℃ test box for 96 hours, then expose to the room temperature for 2 hours without applying power.
2-3 Storage in Humidity Storage in +40℃ ± 2℃ 90-95%RH test box for 96 hours, then expose to the room temperature for 2 hours without applying power.
2-4 Thermal cycle test

Test cycle: -40°C for 30 minutes, transition to +20°C (15 minutes), +105°C for 30 minutes, transition to +20°C (15 minutes).

Procedure: Perform 5 cycles without applying power, then expose to room temperature for 2 hours.

2-5 Vibration test

Amplitude: 1.5mm. Test for directions X, Y, Z for 2 hours each (total 6 hours). Frequency range: 10 Hz to 55 Hz.

2-6 Drop test Free drop a unit from a height of 70cm onto a 10mm thick board, in three directions (X, Y, Z).
2-7 Solderability test Soldering temperature: 260 ± 5℃. Heat applying time: 3 ± 0.5 seconds.

PASS CRITERION: After these tests, the change of Sound Pressure Level (S.P.L) shall be within ±5dB.

  • Atmospheric pressure: 860mbar to 1060mbar

3-2. Standard Test Fixture
