Operating Safety Precautions:

2. Before connecting the kettle, check that the voltage indicated on the appliance matches your home's voltage. If not, do not use.
3. The attached base cannot be used for other than its intended purpose.

Electrical Cord and Plug Instructions

ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD: Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, fire, or electrical shock.

• Plug into a grounded 3-prong outlet.
• DO NOT remove ground prong.
• DO NOT use an adapter.
• DO NOT use an extension cord.

This unit MUST be grounded. Grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for electric current in case of a short circuit. The unit is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire and plug. The plug must be inserted into a properly installed and grounded outlet.

WARNING: Improper use of the grounding plug can result in electric shock. If the plug does not fit fully into the outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the plug.

A short power supply cord is provided to reduce risks from entanglement or tripping.

The manufacturer does not recommend using this machine in countries that do not support 120V AC, even with a voltage adapter, transformer, or converter.

Introduction

The easy-to-read temperature gauge and water level indicator window allow you to monitor water levels and temperature. Its distinctive retro style and modern features make it both functional and eye-catching.

Thermometer Details:

The thermometer displays temperature from 0°F (low) to 220°F (high).

How to Operate

Before first use, it is recommended to clean the kettle. Boil a full kettle of water and discard it. Repeat once more.

1. Find a flat surface near an electrical outlet. Ensure the cord is away from water sources.
2. To fill, remove the kettle from the base, remove the lid, and fill with the desired amount of water. CAUTION: If water exceeds the MAX line (1.7 liters), boiling water may spill out.
3. Replace the lid and position the kettle back on the base, ensuring complete contact.
4. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet and press the Switch to the ON position to begin boiling. The indicator light will turn red. NOTE: The kettle will automatically shut off once water boils. You can manually shut it off by moving the Switch to OFF.
5. When boiling is complete, pour water from the spout by lifting the kettle from the base using the handle. CAUTION: Do not touch the stainless steel body as it will be hot. Use caution when pouring boiling water to avoid scalding.
6. The kettle will not re-boil when returned to the base. Press the Switch to ON to start boiling again.
7. When finished, unplug the power cord. The cord stores conveniently in the base.

Helpful Tips

Boil-Dry Protection:

As a safety measure, the kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection. If operated without water, it will automatically switch off. If this occurs, allow the kettle to cool before refilling with cold water and boiling.

Kettle and Red Indicator Light Not Working:

• Ensure the kettle is properly seated on the base and the power cord is plugged into a functional outlet.
• Water or debris on the bottom of the kettle or base can interfere with operation. Ensure both are dry and free of debris.

Cleaning & Maintenance

1. Ensure the appliance is turned off, unplugged, and completely cooled before cleaning.
2. Wipe the exterior with a damp, non-abrasive cloth, avoiding electrical components. Dry with a soft cloth.
3. Wipe the interior with a damp, non-abrasive cloth or sponge. Dry thoroughly with a soft, non-abrasive towel. NOTE: To prevent electrical shock and damage, do not immerse the cord, plug, or unit in liquid. Never place parts in the dishwasher; always wash by hand.

Mineral Deposits / Decalcifying:

Minerals in water can leave deposits. It is recommended to clean these periodically.

1. To clean, fill the kettle with 3 cups of white vinegar and the remainder with water. Let sit overnight. DO NOT BOIL.
2. Empty the solution.
3. Stains inside the spout can be removed with a damp, non-abrasive cloth.
4. Finally, fill the kettle with clean water, bring to a boil, and discard. Repeat once more.

Your kettle is now ready for use!

Nostalgia Products LLC warrants this product to be free from defects in material and workmanship for one (1) year from the original purchase date under normal home use, provided it is operated and maintained according to instructions. The Company will, at its discretion, repair or replace defective products or issue a refund. This warranty is for the original retail purchaser and requires the original sales receipt as proof of purchase. Claims must be made within the warranty period, and no later than 30 days after failure. This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, or damage from shipping, mishandling, misuse, accidents, alterations, or improper replacement parts. Returns may require shipping prepaid by the customer for inspection; return shipping costs are not refundable. The Company is not responsible for returns damaged or lost in transit.
