Purchaser is solely responsible for determining the product's effectiveness, fitness, suitability, and safety for their specific application.
Obtaining Warranty Performance
If a defect is discovered within the warranty period, Purchaser must notify Manufacturer within thirty (30) days of discovery and no later than the end of the warranty period. Statement of Warranty
This warranty is provided by The AZEK Company LLC ("Manufacturer") for TimberTech® EDGE™ Decking ("Product"). It covers the original residential purchaser or property owner at installation. This warranty is in addition to the standard 25-Year Limited Residential Warranty for EDGE Decking.
Manufacturer warrants that for twenty-five (25) years from the original consumer purchase date:
- The Product's color will not fade beyond a color change of more than 5 Delta E (CIE) units due to light and weathering exposure. While designed to resist fading, no material is fade-proof against prolonged UV and elemental exposure.
- The Product will resist permanent staining from food and beverage items (e.g., condiments, oils, tea, wine, coffee, sodas) if such substances are removed within one (1) week of exposure using soap and water or mild household cleaners.
Manufacturer does not warrant against staining from substances not properly cleaned within the specified timeframe. This warranty also excludes staining or damage from abrasive compounds, acidic or basic pH substances, paints, stains, strong solvents, metallic rust, abnormal deck use items, biocides, fungicides, plant foods, or other bactericides.
Obtaining Warranty Performance
To make a claim, Purchaser must follow specific procedures:
Claims Regarding Stain-Resistance
- Attempt to clean the affected area within one (1) week of exposure using recommended cleaning procedures.
- If the area remains unsatisfactory after step 1, have it professionally cleaned at Purchaser's expense.
- If the area remains unsatisfactory after professional cleaning, a claim can be made within thirty (30) days of the professional cleaning completion.
All Claims
Purchaser must notify Manufacturer of a warranty claim no later than the end of the Term. This can be done via TimberTech's online warranty claim form process at http://TimberTech.com/warranty/warranty-claims-center or by sending information to the Claims Department at TimberTech, 894 Prairie Avenue, Wilmington, Ohio 45177.
Required documentation includes proof of purchase, a description and photographs of the affected area, and, for stain claims, reasonable proof of compliance with cleaning requirements.
Manufacturer reserves the right to request additional information.
