Operation
LED Work Light: The tool has an LED light to illuminate the work area and improve visibility in low-light conditions. The LED light will turn on automatically when the speed trigger is pressed.
Starting Drilling: Turn on the tool by pressing the variable speed trigger. Release the trigger to stop the tool.
Drilling Holes: When drilling large diameter holes, it's often better to start with a smaller bit and work up to the required size to avoid overloading the drill.
⚠️ ADVERTENCIA: Most accidents occur due to unpredictable situations. Please be attentive, as when drilling a small hole, the drill bit can get stuck, especially when drilling metal.
Remember to use a "woodpecker" action to clear chips from deep holes.
If the drill bit jams, immediately turn off the drill to prevent permanent damage.
Try operating the drill in reverse to extract the drill bit.
Keep the drill aligned with the hole. Ideally, the drill bit should enter the work at a right angle. Changing the drill bit angle during drilling can cause it to break, jam the hole, and possibly cause injury.
Reduce pressure as the drill bit is about to break through the workpiece.
Do not force the drill; let it run at its own pace.
Ensure the drill bit is sharp.
Drilling Wood
For maximum performance when drilling larger holes, use auger bits or spade bits for wood. Set the tool to drilling mode. Start drilling at a very low speed to prevent the bit from wandering from the starting point. Increase speed as you penetrate the wood. When drilling through holes, place a block of wood behind the workpiece to prevent torn or splintered edges on the back of the hole.
Drilling Metal
For maximum performance, use HSS drill bits for metal. Set the tool to drilling mode. Mark the center of the hole with a center punch. Use a suitable lubricant for the material being worked. Start drilling at a very low speed to prevent the bit from wandering from the starting point. Always secure the metal plate. Support thin metal plates with a wooden block to prevent deformation.
Drilling Concrete
For maximum performance, use high-quality carbide-tipped masonry bits when drilling holes in brick, tile, concrete, etc. Initially, use drilling mode, then switch to hammer mode after defining the holes. For best results in brick, apply light pressure and medium speed. For hard materials like concrete, apply additional pressure and high speed. When drilling tiles, practice on scrap pieces to determine the best speed and pressure. NOTE: Reverse rotation during hammer drilling can damage the drill and the bit.
Maintenance
⚠️ ADVERTENCIA: Avoid contact of materials such as brake fluid, gasoline, petroleum products, penetrating oils, etc., with the plastic parts of the tool. These materials contain chemicals that can damage, weaken, or destroy the tool's housing, compromising the integrity of the double insulation.
⚠️ ADVERTENCIA: Always disconnect the tool before making any adjustments or performing maintenance. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorized service center to avoid risks. Unplug the tool immediately if the power cord is damaged.
Avoid exposing the tool to rain. If carbon brushes need replacement, this must be done by qualified personnel (both brushes must be replaced at the same time). The tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance. Do not use water or other chemical cleaning agents. Clean with a dry cloth. Store the tool in a dry place. Keep ventilation slots clean. Keep control knobs free of dust. Occasional sparks may be seen through the ventilation slots; this is normal and does not damage the tool. The ambient temperature range for using this tool is 0°C - 40°C. Relative humidity should not exceed 80%, without direct exposure to rain and without excessive dust in the air. Some tool parts may be user-replaceable. Consult the spare parts list in this manual.
Inspection of Mounting Screws
Regularly inspect mounting screws and ensure they are properly tightened. If any screws are loose, tighten them immediately to prevent accidents that could cause serious injury.
Motor Maintenance
The motor's winding unit is the "heart" of the tool. Pay close attention to ensure the winding is not damaged or exposed to water or oil.
Carbon Brush Inspection
The motor uses carbon brushes, which are consumable items. If an excessively worn carbon brush causes motor problems, replace it with an identical part when it is worn to or near its limit. Also, always keep carbon brushes clean and ensure they move freely in the brush holder.
