Chassis Assembly and Operation
Opening the Chassis
Step 1-3: To open the chassis, hold the handle and lift firmly until it is fully open. Ensure all locking mechanisms are engaged and no red indicators are visible.
Attaching Rear Wheels
Step 4-6: Insert the rear wheels (A) into the designated slots on the chassis. Push them in until you hear a 'click' sound ?, confirming they are securely attached. Ensure wheels are firmly fixed before use. To detach, press the release button (A1) and pull the wheel off.
Attaching Front Wheels
Step 7-9: To attach the front wheel units (B), press the small button (B1) and insert the unit into its slot until it clicks ?. Ensure wheels are securely fixed before use. To detach, press the button (B1) and remove the unit.
Folding and Unfolding the Chassis
Step 10-11: To fold the chassis, press the button (T2) and simultaneously rotate the rear handle (T3) until the chassis is fully closed. Always verify the chassis is correctly closed. Use the rear handle (T3) to carry the folded chassis. Do not lift by the handle alone.
Brakes
Step 12-13: To engage the rear wheel brakes, press the middle lever (T4) downwards. To release the brakes, press the same lever (T4) upwards. Always engage the brakes when stationary.
Front Wheel Lock
Step 14: The chassis has swivel front wheels. To lock or unlock them, ensure they are aligned correctly, then operate the lever (B2) located on both front wheel assemblies.
Handlebar Adjustment
Step 15: The handlebar is telescopic and adjustable to 4 positions. Press both buttons (T5) simultaneously and lift or lower the handlebar to the desired position.
Shopping Basket and Bottle Holder
Step 16-20: The chassis is equipped with a spacious shopping basket (K) and a bottle holder (H). To attach the bottle holder (H), align the upper guide with the hook (H1) on the chassis and push into place until secured.
Bassinet (Landou) Attachment and Use
Compatibility
The Inglesina Aptica chassis can be used with the Aptica Bassinet, All Season Stroller Seat, or compatible car seats (Cab 0+, Darwin Infant, Darwin Infant Recline).
Attaching the Bassinet
Step 22-23: Hold the bassinet by its handle and attach it to the chassis slots, ensuring it is positioned parent-facing only. Check that the indicators (C1) on both fixing devices turn green. If red, reposition the bassinet until green.
Step 24: Before use, always ensure the bassinet is securely attached by pulling upwards.
Detaching the Bassinet
Step 25: Press the lever (C2) on the outside of the bassinet and lift it off the chassis.
Bassinet Hood Cover
Step 26-27: Attach the hood cover (C) around the frame, securing it with the provided snaps (C3) and the central velcro flap (C4). Finish by fastening the side and rear velcro closures (C5) to the bassinet.
Bassinet Handle and Hood Adjustment
Step 28-29: To adjust the bassinet handle and hood, press the two internal buttons (C6) simultaneously. Ensure the carry handle is in the upright and securely locked position before lifting or transporting the bassinet.
Bassinet Cover
Step 30-32: Attach the bassinet cover (D) by first fastening the snaps (D2), then the two snaps with holes (D3). The front flap (D1) can be extended and secured to protect the child from cold. The cover can be partially folded back by releasing the side snaps (D2) for easier access to the child.
Bassinet Recline Adjustment
Step 33: Use the lever (C6) to adjust the bassinet recline. Once the desired angle is achieved, return the lever to its original position.
Bassinet Ventilation
Step 34-35: The bassinet features a ventilation system. The lower ventilation can be adjusted using the front lever (C7). If available, the two mesh inserts on the rear and hood provide better air circulation.
Bassinet Lining Care
Step 36-37: For proper maintenance, it is recommended to remove the bassinet lining periodically. To remove, simply pull it out. Ensure the elastic bands (C8) are correctly inserted under the lower flaps (C9) after reassembly. Incorrect placement may affect the bassinet's secure attachment to the chassis.
Stroller Seat (Crucior) Attachment and Use
Attaching the Stroller Seat
Step 38: Ensure bassinet attachment points (C8, C9) are correctly secured.
Step 39: Attach the stroller seat (E) to the chassis by aligning it with the corresponding slots on both sides of the frame. You will hear a 'click' sound ? when properly attached.
Stroller Seat Recline Adjustment
Step 40: The seat can be reclined to 4 positions. Operate the central adjustment device (E1) and move the seat to the desired position.
Step 41: Before use, always ensure the seat is securely attached by pulling upwards.
Detaching the Stroller Seat
Step 42: Press the lever (E2) and simultaneously lift the seat off the chassis. Never attach or detach the seat with the child inside.
Seat Orientation
Step 43: The stroller seat can be used facing the parent or facing the world.
Footrest Adjustment
Step 44-45: To lower the footrest, press the levers (E3) at the bottom downwards. To raise it, simply pull upwards; it will lock automatically.
Safety Harness
Step 46-48: Ensure the harness straps are threaded at the correct height (back level or slightly above). Adjust the shoulder straps (E4) and waist straps (E5) and connect them to the central buckle (E6). Always use the waist harness together with the shoulder harness, adjusting them correctly. Failure to do so may result in the child falling or sliding out, causing injury. Adjust harness height and length according to the child's age.
Bumper Bar (Handlebar)
Step 49-50: To attach the bumper bar (G), insert it into the corresponding slots (G2) on the stroller seat until it clicks ?. The bumper bar can be opened on one side or removed completely by pressing the button (G1).
Stroller Hood
Step 51-54: To attach the hood (J), align it with the side joints (J1) on the seat, insert the strap (J2), and push firmly until fully connected. First, fasten the snaps (J3) to the side joints (J1), then the rear buttons (J4) to the backrest. Adjust the hood by pushing it to the desired position. The hood includes an extra insert and sun visor for extended coverage.
Detaching the Stroller Hood
Step 55-56: To remove the hood (J), unfasten all snaps (J4) from the backrest. Then, release the two large snaps (J3) connecting the cover to the side joints (J1), and detach the internal strap (J2) from the joints by pulling firmly.
Stroller Hood Lining Care
Step 57: The hood lining can be removed for cleaning. After detaching the hood, simply remove the internal strap (J2).
Folding Chassis with Seat Attached
Step 58-59: The chassis can be folded with the seat attached, either parent-facing or world-facing. Before folding, fold down the hood and recline the seat to a horizontal position. Then, proceed with folding the chassis as shown.
Comfort Cover
Step 60-61: The All Season seat comes with a Comfort Cover. To remove it, unfasten the large snaps (E7) on the sides, releasing the anchors (E8). Remove the shoulder straps from their protectors and then extract them along with the lumbar belt from their slots. Remove the "Cover" (F) from the backrest by pulling the shoulder protectors out of their slots. Ensure it is correctly detached at the rear adjustment device (E1).
Stroller Seat Lining Care
Step 62-68: Periodically remove the seat lining for cleaning. First, remove the hood, bumper bar, and Comfort Cover. Unfasten the lower snaps (E9). Release the side buttons (E7) and remove the side parts from their slots, then lift the lining off the footrest support. Detach the crotch strap from its protective padding and then from the seat slot. Remove the lumbar straps from the backrest slot. Unfasten the fastening bands (E10) securing the lining to the lumbar structure and detach the anchoring bands (E11) from their slots (E12). Release the lining from the hood joints, detach the shoulder straps from the lining slots, and remove the lining from the backrest structure.
Safety Harness System Removal and Assembly
Step 69-74: The harness system can be removed if necessary. To remove the crotch strap, detach the lower ring (E13) from the seat slot (E14). To remove the lumbar belt, pass the straps through the backrest slot (E15) and pull firmly until the ring (E16) detaches. Then remove the ring (E16) from the slot (E15) and fully extract the belt. To remove the shoulder belts, detach them from the metal rings (E17) securing them to the backrest tube. To reassemble the crotch strap, insert the lower ring (E13) into the seat slot (E14), keeping the upper ring (E18) outside. To reassemble the lumbar belt, insert the ring (E16) into the backrest slot, position it under a fastening clip (E19), and push firmly into place. To reattach the shoulder belts, loop them around the backrest tube, ensuring they are not inverted or tangled. Insert each belt into its respective metal ring (E17), ensuring they are external to the backrest adjustment device (E1). Always position shoulder belts at the same height. Ensure all belts are correctly fastened to the seat by pulling them individually.
