Wiring Diagram Description
The diagram shows a connection from a 100-240VAC power box to the switch. The 'Live in' and 'Neutral in' terminals on the switch connect to the power source. The switch has terminals labeled 'L-IN', 'L-OUT', 'OPEN', 'CLOSE', 'N-IN'. The 'Live to motor' and 'Neutral to motor' terminals connect to the curtain motor. 'Curtain open' and 'Curtain close' terminals are for controlling the motor's direction. The diagram notes that motor wire colors can differ, and users should consult their motor manual to identify functions before connecting to the switch.
Safety Precautions
- ⚠️ Caution: Please disconnect the power when installing or uninstalling. Installation must be performed by a qualified professional.
- Improper wiring can damage your health and the connected device.
Setting Opening and Closing Limits
The default time for opening/closing the curtain is 5 seconds. This time can be adjusted as needed.
To set the limits: Press and hold the middle touch button (Pause ⏸️) for approximately 4 seconds until all three buttons start flashing red. Then, press the right button (Open ▶️) and let the curtain move to its maximum open position. Press the right button again to stop. Repeat this process for closing the curtain using the left button (Close ◀️).
Some curtain motors lack a resistance-based stopping function. If the curtain track is fully open or closed, the motor may continue to run, potentially causing damage to the motor, switch, or electrical system. This switch is designed with a time-setting function for limit stops to protect the motor and save energy. The switch will automatically stop the curtain when it reaches its maximum open or close position after the time limits are set.
Pairing with the eWelink App
After installation, you can view the curtain's status in the eWelink app.
Pairing Process
- Press and hold the 'Close' (◀️) or 'Open' (▶️) button for 7 seconds until the Wi-Fi LED indicator (top left) blinks rapidly, then flashes 3 times and turns off, repeating this cycle. This indicates the device has entered Wi-Fi learning mode.
- Open the eWelink app, tap the '+' icon, and select the first option (Quick Pairing Mode).
App Screens Description
The app guides you through pairing with several screens:
- Screen 1: 'Add Device' - 'Pairing Your Device' - 'Quick Pairing Mode (Touch)'. Instructions mention pressing the pairing button for 5 seconds until the LED blinks in a 2x short, 1x long pattern. For bulbs/strips/humidifiers, it suggests turning the device off/on 3 times within 2 seconds until the LED blinks rapidly.
- Screen 2: 'Select WiFi' - 'Supports only 2.4G WiFi'. Enter your WiFi name and password. Options to 'Remember password' and 'Next'.
- Screen 3: 'Pairing...' - 'Please ensure your phone and device are close to the WiFi router.' Shows 'Attempting to connect device...' with a timer.
Post-Pairing and Troubleshooting
- Once paired, you can name your device.
- If pairing fails, repeat the process and check the following:
- 1. Ensure you entered the correct WiFi password.
- 2. Verify your smartphone or tablet is connected to a 2.4 GHz WiFi network with internet access.
- 3. If the Sonoff device is too far from the router, the WiFi signal may be weak. Move the device closer to the router.
- 4. If the WiFi LED blinks twice per second: The Sonoff device has connected to WiFi but failed to connect to the server. Check your network connection, router settings, or MAC address blocking.
Removing the Module from the App
If a module is paired with a mobile app, it cannot be paired with another phone. If you intend to give the Sonoff switch to another user (e.g., sell it), you must first remove it from your app.
For warranty claims or returns, it is mandatory to remove the switch from the app before sending it back. Otherwise, the claim or return cannot be accepted.
