Midea PortaSplit: Outstanding Cooling and Heating with Quick Setup

Midea, a globally recognized high-tech company and a leader in air conditioning and heating solutions, has developed the innovative PortaSplit, the groundbreaking climate device of the future. Based on heat pump technology, the PortaSplit cools and heats with outstanding energy efficiency: A++ for cooling and A+ for heating. The PortaSplit has been tested like a permanently installed split air conditioner.

The jury justifies its verdict: The Midea PortaSplit mobile air conditioner impresses with a pleasantly clean, functional design and can be flexibly and easily used wherever it is needed, provided there is an external windowsill or balcony available.
Other window types such as skylights, French balconies, or windows in caravans and motorhomes are also not a problem for the PortaSplit. With a universal holder, the device can be used in these locations as well.
Outstanding and Intelligent Cooling Performance
The PortaSplit impresses with its outstanding cooling performance (3.5 kW and SEER of 6.1) and offers four times higher cooling capacity and three times higher efficiency¹ compared to conventional mobile air conditioners. Conventional mobile air conditioners are often not powerful enough to cool an entire room. The PortaSplit can cool a 15 square meter room from 29 degrees Celsius to a pleasant 24 degrees Celsius in just 15 minutes. This is even possible at an outside temperature of 30 degrees Celsius. This means that over the entire cooling season, consisting of approximately 196 operating hours with average German temperatures and an electricity price of 35 cents per kilowatt-hour, the operating cost is only 26 Euros². The PortaSplit offers intelligent temperature control in addition to efficient cooling.
Thanks to the advanced AI algorithm, the device automatically makes micro-adjustments based on the ambient temperature. This reduces temperature fluctuations and ensures a uniform room climate and low power consumption. Heat dissipation occurs via a heat exchanger, which eliminates the need for a large exhaust hose. Additionally, the air pressure in the room remains stable, and no hot outside air re-enters the home.

Robust and Easy to Install
The window holder included in the scope of delivery requires no drilling or modifications to walls or windows. Midea engineers have developed the holder to be so robust that the outdoor unit is always securely and stably attached. For aesthetic reasons, the connecting hose has been designed to be particularly slim with a width of only 2.7 cm, yet it still offers extremely high stability. This means the window gap is at least five times smaller than with conventional mobile air conditioners. The included window seal is easy to attach and can withstand weather, heat, and light without problems. To shield the outside air and achieve optimal temperature results, the window seal is seamlessly manufactured and is waterproof and windproof. This guarantees high product longevity. The setup process is quick and easy, without the need for a professional. Damage or modifications to the building facade are eliminated, meaning that no permits are usually required from the homeowner or landlord for installing the air conditioner. Midea provides everything necessary for installation: the outdoor and indoor units, a holder, and the window seal. Installation is done using the "Plug & Play" principle. This allows the air conditioner to be quickly set up and dismantled, offering high flexibility.
Innovative Technology for More Comfort
The PortaSplit was engineered with outstanding cooling and heating performance. The Dynamic Airflow Deflector ensures optimal and energy-efficient air circulation: For cooling, the air is expelled upwards, enabling uniform cooling throughout the entire room. In heating mode, it releases hot air downwards to warm the room more quickly. The built-in ionizer prevents the spread of bacteria and viruses. The generated oxygen ions sterilize the air, creating a healthier environment and improving air quality. Since the 4-in-1 device is used where people live, relax, and seek tranquility, Midea has incorporated a three-layer sound insulation that covers the compressor. This ensures extremely quiet operation. In Silent Mode, the noise level drops to just 39 decibels. This guarantees restful sleep even when the device is running. The PortaSplit automatically sets the perfect comfortable temperature for a pleasant night.
The PortaSplit is smart! It can be conveniently controlled with a remote control or via Midea's SmartHome App. It is also compatible with Alexa and Google Home. This allows you to control the device from anywhere and at any time – simply via your smartphone or tablet.
