The 2016 Buick Encore is powered by a 1.4L Turbo engine with Variable Valve Timing. It features a 6-speed automatic transmission with Driver Shift Control, electric power steering, and a 4-wheel anti-lock disc brake system with full-range traction control and StabiliTrak stability control.
The Sport Touring Edition offers an enhanced engine: a 1.4L Turbo with VVT and Start/Stop technology, providing more power and torque.

It is powered by a new Direct Injection 1.4-litre turbocharged engine with start/stop technology for increased power and torque.
