Product Overview

The Hagerman PP12 is a modern EL84-powered tube amplifier featuring the innovative Hagerman Clipper circuit for its high-gain channel. It delivers a clean and low-noise 8 watts, ideal as a pedal platform, or up to 12 watts when pushed. A rear-mounted half-power switch is included for bedroom practice.

This amplifier distinguishes itself with unique features such as inductive rectification, a contour tone control preceding the clipping stages, the all-tube Hagerman Clipper, and a passive analog cabinet simulator for line/headphone output. The design prioritizes tonality and articulation over maximum power, contributing to a smooth transition from clean to distorted tones and extended tube life.

The PP12 is available as a custom pine head or a combo cabinet with a 12" Jensen Alnico speaker. It requires specification of either 120VAC or 240VAC input voltage upon ordering.

Operation

Ensure tubes are installed before operating the PP12 amplifier. Allow at least 30 seconds for the amplifier to warm up.

CONTOUR Control: This is a tilt-style tone control that affects the signal before the clipping stages. For a Klon-like boost effect, set it to approximately 2 o'clock.

CLIP Control: This control selects between low and high-gain modes.

Headphone Output: The PHONES jack, featuring analog cabinet simulation, becomes active when the SPEAKER output is unplugged. Use a TRS (stereo) jack for the headphone output.

Warranty and Contact Information

Warranty

Hagerman Amplification warrants this product against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of 5 years (90 days for tubes). If a defect is found, Hagerman Amplification will, at its discretion, repair or replace the product at no cost, provided it is returned during the warranty period with transportation charges prepaid.

This warranty excludes damage caused by negligence, accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication, improper connection to other equipment, or unauthorized modifications. The warranty covers the repair or replacement of the product itself and does not extend to damage to other manufacturers' equipment. Any implied warranties, including merchantability, are limited to the duration of this express warranty. Hagerman Amplification is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of this product.
