User Manual (Supplementary Information)

This manual is included with the product packaging, but this document serves as supplementary information for your reference.

About the Actto Keyboard:

The Actto CURVED Keyboard features a natural curve design, Bluetooth and 2.4GHz connectivity, and can connect to up to 5 devices (switchable). It is compatible with Win, Mac, and Android operating systems. The keyboard has received the prestigious Reddot 2023 Award for product design.

Hint: How to input Japanese on a US keyboard?

* The method for switching between English and Japanese input may differ depending on your device. For more detailed information, please refer to your device's user manual or search the internet using keywords such as "US keyboard Japanese input".

Important!

Keys Not Inputting as Engraved

Example Symptom:
When you press [Shift] + [2], the "@" symbol is displayed instead of "”.

This occurs when your device (PC or smartphone) is set to a Japanese keyboard layout. You need to change your device's settings to a US keyboard layout.

For Windows 10:

  1. On the home screen, click the Start button (Windows logo) in the bottom left corner, then click Settings (gear icon).
  2. Click "Time & Language" in the left-hand menu.
  3. Click "Language" in the right-hand menu. Select "Japanese" for "Windows display language". Under "Preferred languages", click "Japanese", then click "Options".
  4. On the "Language options: Japanese" page, click "Change keyboard layouts" under "Keyboard".
  5. A blue screen titled "Change keyboard layouts" will pop up. Select "English keyboard (101/102 Key)" and click "Restart now".

For Windows 11:

  1. On the home screen, click the Start button (Windows logo) in the bottom left corner, then click Settings (gear icon). Select "Time & Language" from the left-hand menu, then click "Language & region" on the right.
  2. Select "Japanese" for "Windows display language".
  3. Under "Preferred languages", click the "..." next to "Japanese", then click "Language options".
  4. Under "Keyboard layouts", click "Change keyboard layouts".
  5. A blue screen will pop up. Select "English keyboard (101/102 Key)" and click "Restart now".

For Mac:

  1. Go to System Preferences > Keyboard > Change Keyboard Type.
  2. When the Keyboard Setup Assistant launches, click "Continue" on the bottom right of the screen.
  3. Follow the on-screen instructions and press "Z".
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions and press "/".
  5. Select "ANSI (U.S.A.)" and click "Done".
